3" toytec with bilstien shocks and struts
I run a 3" Toytec kit on my 95.5. Comes with 5100's toytec springs and AAL also front differential drop kit for the 4x4 models. At first it's pretty stiff but about an oil change later it should soften up. It was a pretty straight forward kit. Easily installed by myself. If you can get a buddy to give you a hand. That would make the front strut installation much easier but can be done by yourself with a control arm bar or just a big bar period. I like it and I would suggest an upper control arm kit to help with front end alignment after the lift

But like already said unless you go with some extra weight its highly not recommended because of how stiff the coils are

OP: I'll just repeat why people aren't recommending going a full 3" or a little higher on your budget.

To go higher, even on a preerunner, you end up with bad alignment problems, which is why most would recommend UCA's if you're going that route.

The 5100's at full lift are about all you should really do withOUT upper control arms.

So, do some soul searching. Do you want 4"? If so, you should look into a bonafide 4" kit which includes shocks, uca's, springs, etc... that are built for that amount of lift. Stacking lifts isn't realy a good idea. So you could do the 5100's now, but if you know you'll want more later, you might just save up and do the "proper" lift now.

Is it the Toytec "boss kit"? Standard Toytec with bilsteins, eibachs? AAL plus shackles? Stock UCA's? Being a little more specific would be greatly appreciate. Definitely not going the stackable route and preloading coils.

Screenshot_2017-01-11-10-33-33.jpg wonder if these would be any good? Yes I know they are from ebay. I understand they are noname brand but figured since they are a noname brand thats how they keep the cost down? Says they are heavy duty 4130 chromoly tube. Thoughts???

standard eibach kit. you have choice of rear lift when ordering (he has shackles by looks of it)

ebay arms have poor quality components but can be changed out with brand name stuff. but at that point you could just buy some spc arms.

Awesome. Thx! Does the standard toytec lift come with everything I need? Or do I need to fork out more green for any mounts or bushings???

The toytec is literaly just your suspension. Shocks, struts, front coil springs, aal kit, front differential drop kit, and some hardware. You may want to look into new shackles, possibly some front end components (ball joints, inner and outer tierods, uca's, possibly an extended brake hose for the rear ect.

Doesnt come with the strut top plate and bushings. You gotta use mounts off old struts or buy a new kit. Other than that its pretty much everything you need.

It is gona be a stiff ride even with your bumper though. Being a dbl cab you may get away with it just the same.

You have the eibach coils on 5100s set to lift. Your getting WAAAAY to much lift. Literally raping your cvs and no doubtedly the truck rides like ass.

I think they might still be set to the highest setting so yeah probably. Haha. I know what you mean now. And yes it's a bit stiff and taller in the front. CV's are a bit stressed it looked like to me. But I have built right upper arms to put on still. Plus I need to replace the lower arms as well because they're shot. So yeah still work to be done. The only saving grace is I don't daily the yota. Just been a little project on the side of my other projects Haha

Here is my old lift before I got my Icon 2.5 ext. travel CO's. Bilstein adjustables on the 0 setting w/ Eibach 3" lift coils that provided all the lift. Anything over the 0 setting on a 4x4 and you're going to ruin your front end components. I also have Camburg UCA's. I sold this set up due to those 3" Eibach coils being way too stiff and I have a 3.4 DC! In the back I installed a 1.5" AAL and regular 5100's that are good for 0-3" of lift. No extended brake lines till I bought my new Icon set up and obviously I kept my Camburg UCA's. I also put in a 1" diff drop in the beginning. I've posted this picture on this Forum a few times. But this is what you'll have to do to get your 3" of lift properly or go w/ OME instead of the Eibach coils. And the CV fins are still touching! By the way I had 0 to no down travel or at least that's how it felt. Which contributed to the stiffness. I was surprised my front 5100's didn't start leaking or just completely get destroyed. I had a 3" ToyTec billet spacer lift before this lift w/ OEM Bilstein shocks and the same Camburg UCA's. Should've just bought my ICON set up in the 1st place but couldn't afford it at the time and wanted my truck lifted. But looking back, I should've just waited till I could afford the right lift and the one I wanted. Wasted a lot of money.
