    Small useful for me stuff.
Well folks I guess the weather guessers missed this one. They said 1-3 and we are 12-15 depending where you are. We don't normally see snow to the valley floor so people loose it big time. I may have to go on a rescue run to get the wife from her job. Could be a fun day. The shop sent out a group text at 0530 and said stay home, lol.

What kind of leather clad catfight have we going on here?

Good morning folks. The meeting with the engineer was actually productive yesterday. But I stayed home today because some dumbass at work is spreading some sore throat bug and I don't want to keep passing it around. Am I the only one who listens when they say to not.go to work sick? This is 2 days in 2 consecutive weeks I've missed because of someone else. I heard one guy say his wife is really sick and he doesn't feel good either so he came to work to get away from her...are you fk'n shitting me?

Oh well, I'll do some work from home, maybe stop by my truck and grab some paperwork and iPad so today won't be a total loss.

Coveralls here when I do hot work LOL. And often a piece of garlock gasket material between the work and me. Then again a cup of coffee works for me :anonymous:

I've looked at those off road teardrops for years with envy, they don't quite work for me and the time of year I do most of my camping or would have one by now for sure. Have a trailer with a topper on it that I have slept in before.

And the back of the truck. The wall tent more times than not in the past.

As I get older to be honest my preference has become more like this
    [IMG]

And even better a cabin with hot water, shower, and a sit down chitter instead of an outhouse. But those are few and far in between plus spendy. But worth it to me anymore :)

If I lived someplace that was warmer, and the mosquito wasn't the State bird when it was, I'd consider a lot of other options and have. A bit jealous of the teardrops and RTT's.

I'm very fortunate to get to see just about every configuration of camping set-up there is, to include some very ingenious home builds. My dad was also a camping fanatic and we did everything from cots on the ground, leaf piles covered by a tarp, pickup bed with a wood frame and a tarp, teardrop/canned ham/travel trailer and a cabin. Teardrop has to be my favorite and, now that all the kids are grown and gone, it's on my list to build and use...well, actually a "square drop". I thought I was settled on a design until I seen one with a slide out. Well now the same guy built one with 2 slides so that got me thinking and now the creative juices in my cranium have concocted some pretty cool stuff, so it's really just a matter of working out the mechanisms, getting it drawn out and (the hard part) getting time to get it all going. My goal is to be able to pull up on site, minimal set up with the most comfort and most versatility...hopefully we all live long enough to see my plan come to fruition.
