Agreed, on all counts. I guess my point was that however inaccurate the needle is, at least it's consistent. I'll probably do a flush and t-stat at some point but as long as its not going up I'm happy.

FWIW it's probably something simple like the jiggle valve being at the wrong position or a little bit of your rad is clogged. My rad was clogged and that caused me to go up to 215 on big hills.

Agreed I love my UG, love seeing what the temperature is every time I drive. But I guess everyone's gauge is different.

Actually did a thing today! For the first time in 2.5 years i have wind shield wiper Fluid. It's a super tight fit with my skid but I'm planning on building a new skid in the spring anyway so I'm not worried.
2 pieces of pipe, under 2ft. Cemented together with the 1/2" reducer at the bottom, zip tied to the frame and ps lines, and i extended the 2 wires for the harness a bit. Thanks to sir monte for his lil write up on these.

I'm pretty skeptical on how long it will survive considering how rough I am on the truck, so maybe if done again I'd leave off the horizontal piece and just have the vertical piece and set it higher up and only use it sparingly but we shall see

In the interest of full disclosure...

I watched the new Scangauge on the drive to work today and over the 10 mile commute the truck never got above 186*. The previous pic in question, of it at 213, was after idling in my garage for a little while. Not sure why that would matter but thankfully it seems normal under regular driving conditions.

so the extra and double cabs hold 18.5 gallons. How much is left when the light comes on?

I have an ultra gauge, which means I have a number instead of a dash dial. BUT, the computer is determining remaining fuel based on the amount I said is in the tank.

I don't run my truck to empty, but i have been in some situations where it would of been nice to know how much I had left with the gas light on.

I don't know about that. I've had the light come on, but I've never once had 3 gals in my truck :pout:

It's either 3 or 2.5. Thought for sure it was 3 though.
