^ are you referring to the lower indentations on the door? That would look pretty cool.
I'm wrapping my roof, might throw the extra on the doors

Ya! the attached quote is one of my previous posts on here. The red is where I wanna wrap it in matte black. I have a door ding to cover and no mud flaps to protect the rockers from chips. I figured this would both look good and be functional.

You might haha. They are making it 2.5mil thickness. Got the idea from the quicksand sema truck. They have to go measure a 16. They only have measurements for a 2nd Gen so I am waiting on that too.

    2.5mil!?
So thicker than your average vinyl wrap then?
Probably a good idea but not feasible with vinyl cutting tape I'm sure.
Getting the tacoma cut out too?

I've had over 10 people message me wanting the fox kit. So to answer your question, a lot of people.

Yeah it will be cut out. Shop said 4 pieces Front, Front door, Back door, and wrap around the aft part of the cab. I will then debadge the chrome Tacoma stuff. Don't need it twice on both sides lol. It will be good for some random stone that shoot up, least till I get some sliders.

Just finished up my wrap using your instructions. Looks awesome. Thanks for posting. So glad I didn’t buy an overpriced decal.ABC9D06E-D4A5-49B3-9573-1812A5C1F252.jpg

    No rocker panel vinyl yet?
About to do that to mine when the weather warms up. STILL winter here in Alberta... mods on hold.

LEXICON, that wrap job was definitely a confidence project. Rocker panels are definitely at the top of the TACO project list. Alberta has another season other than winter? Well hope it warms up for ya soon and good luck with your wrap.

Ive wrapped a few things before so i have "some" confidence.. Knife tape has been ordered and going to get vinyl next. Good luck to both of us!
This year, no, there is only winter. It has literally snowed almost every day since November...:angrygirl:

That knifeless tape is magic! The most difficult thing on the wrap was only having two hands. Trying to get the bubbles out and laying it smooth was a challenge with it being so large. At one point I was standing on my front tire with the wrap pulled tight with teeth then with a free hand trying to chase down air bubbles. Biggest tip would be wrap with a partner. Take some pics when you finnish it up.

I imagine the hood to be a challenge. Maybe easier if it was removed? Guess you'd need more than two hands for that too..
Excited to try the tape! Can't imagine trying to do rockers without it, clean lines without cutting through paint. Also, I'm sure the rockers will be easy cause you can "hang" the vinyl and work downward with gravity. The gf is itching to get her hands dirty and help out so I have some help.

Yeah it would be way easier if removed the hood but you might have a tricky time getting it aligned when you reinstall. Sounds like you have help so I’d leave it on. Your also right on the rockers too, I can just stick it and pull it down.

At the time there were no kits available, and OEM was crazy expensive. Plus I like to do all my own mods so it worked out. Still perfect to this day!

So quick question. I noticed a couple differences between the precut and trd pro implementation. For example, the small showing of paint between the scoop and vinyl on the hood.

Did you select your way for preference? Just curious.
