I wouldn't be trying to turn it into a sponsored event at all, hell nah. Just adding Logo's/Info to the video. The video is being recorded anyway in a sense, so a cheaper video edit for someone is a good way to put their name out in the field they are in. Think of it as a cheap advertisement of their parts/business to put their info and stuff on the video.
I very seldom go to sponsored events because you're exactly right, it takes away from the freedom, love, enjoyment of the sport. Like this for example, this was filmed over 4-5 different locations but was used for a companies business that is getting into the UTV world. We were filming most of the stuff anyway and nFlow engines wanted to sponsor the video.

I'm usually pretty good with names but meeting 25 new people at once is a lot to remember. Introducing yourself by your screen name is always awkward but usually mandatory.

Interested in coming to this. Have been working on getting my off road worthy since I purchased it. Has a partial SS 1.2 kit on it now that I'll be changing out for some King coilovers and rear shocks and Camburg UCA's prior to the event. Don't have much on the truck in the way of recovery gear other than some D-rings under the front.

Any suggestions on what would be good to budget for before the trip?
