Has any body who has gotten this tsb for DRIVLINE VIBRATION. Did it help and completely eliminate the vibration?

Because I'm debating whether not to get it done because the vibration I feel is so slight.

Also, the vibration that you feel how bad is it

You have this issue as well?! I took my truck in a few weeks back and had the dealership actual feel the clunk that took place. They felt it yet nothing could be done so they said.....I tend to feel like this isn't good for the transmission. Have you had any luck with updates or fixes?

My vibration was very slight as well, to where I wasn't even going to press the issue if they said no, but they did the TSB anyway and it is gone completely.

Saw this video someone posted in another thread and thought it fit perfectly here. It talks about how to measure driveline angle.

I have the vibration between 30-10 mph. Brought it to 2 different dealerships told them about the tsb (after neither knew of the TSB I was talking about)and was told by one its my ko2's and was told by the other it feels like part of the downshift?! I was told by both dealerships the TSB in question does not apply to my vehicle. I said perhaps but I am having the same problem as described in the TSB. It's amazing they can not acknowledge a problem. I bet if I was out of warranty and a cash paying customer they would be all over this and ready to charge me for a new leaf pack plus the labor to install. So frustrating. I already have a case open with Toyota on this so I'll follow back up with them.

SO I was just about to replace the left side needle bearing with the ECGS Bushing when I came across this new TSB. Has anyone thought the needle bearing was bad but it was actually the driveline angles? Sure sounds like its vibrating directly under the drivers floorboard where the needle bearing is located.

I'm wondering if changing the leaf pack out will change the driveline angle and eliminate the vibration? Will just installing an AAL accomplish this?

I don't feel a vibration in the steering wheel either. I checked the pinion angle last night and based on the information provided in the TSB pdf I am definitely out. Spec is +1.38 to +3.38 degrees for my truck and I'm coming up with +4.3 degrees.

Still waiting for the dealership to call me back lol! :fingerscrossed: They have actually been very good but of course this TSB specifically says if the truck has a lift it doesn't apply. My thought is if they had to issue a TSB then stock trucks are being built out of spec. Therefore if my truck is out of spec after the lift and the company has tested that the product keeps the driveline in spec, then the angle must have been wrong off the assembly line. I'll keep updating as I find out more

Yeah, that's the high pressure fuel pump. It's normal.

I had the tsb done on my truck today. So far so good, but I only drove a short distance home.

I'll report back after I've put a few miles on.

My sport is going in for diagnosis next week. Did a ride along to demonstrate a cyclic vibration at 60 to 65mph. Felthe mostly in the steering wheel, but also floor. Does not disappear with 4wd engaged. Dunno if it could possibly be driveline angles...left front cv carrier bearing or what. Doesn't always do it, and to be honest....wasn't doing it that much when I did a ride along. I'm impressed that my dealer has acknowledge it and is willing to investigate. Their research today said most tsb stuff is only for 2016. Will keep you posted...but I think it's different than this tsb. Mine is smooth at 50 or less, even under braking.

All things being equal, in my experience there can be quite a bit of variability in the production quality of tires and a simple thing like a belt being off can cause a harmonic vibration that centrifugal balance machines can't catch, but road force can.

Road force balancing is a super cheap way to rule out tires as the culprit...and if the dealership has one, can certainly be a step in troubleshooting.

Can also rule out the tire/wheel by rotating. IE: Does the vibration change from the steering wheel to the floor/seat by rotating front to rear. If not, probably not tire/wheel related.
