    Hey Guys,

I am the guy with the bad alternator driving back from the dealership. Then, got hit and run when my truck was parked. Well, got my truck fixed up a few weeks back and now I have my dash cam ready to catch anybody who hits and run my truck again.

I got the two channel Thinkware F770.

Got anymore pictures? I would like to see how well this can be hidden in the truck. I am trying to avoid hanging wires everywhere

So the the wires are tucked away underneath the headliner and weather seals. I ran a wire to the driver side and down the pillar to the cell link b underneath my driverside seat ( the cell link b is hardwired to a fuse) and one towards the passenger side all the way back to the rear window. The only wire you will see is the two coming down from the liner into the dashcam.

Nice looking install OP. Here's mine. Wires are hidden the same way you described and connected with an add a fuse.

This is the exact setup I want to do. I have an el-cheapo cam right now.

I'd love to see some pictures of the fuse box if someone has some. It looks like once you use an add-a-fuse, or fuse tap, you can't use the cover for the box anymore?

There's not much to show regarding using a couple of fuse taps into the fuse block under the left side of the dash. Aux Power No 1 for ACC line and the empty slot for constant +12VDC. I wrote how I routed the hardwire kit.

You can do that with the F770 as well if you wish. No parking mode though since there's no power when the truck is off. Plus it's kinda ugly. By the time you go to the effort of routing the cable so it's hidden well, the effort to do a real hardwire is trivial.

I guess I figured it'd be pretty easy for folks to look at their fuse box. :)

You're correct, once you add a tap you can't put the cover back on. I tossed it in the center console in once of the openings of my SalesX organizer. When I think of it I may put it in the underseat compartment with the jack where I keep a couple other things.

Oh no, I checked mine out. I just wasn't sure if someone found a work-around for the cover. I saw some people went through the firewall to the main fuse box under the hood because they didn't want to leave the cover off the fuse box in the cab.

    Thanks for the verification!

I assume this set up is more efficient than the camera with 2 heads in the front unit. I meant back and front looking camera. 2 in one.

    I think it is.

One unit to wire power to since the rear camera is a single cable that connects to the front portion and gets it power through that.

All recordings are on one microSD card in the same folder with the same timestamp, differentiated by a "F" or "R" for the camera it's from. Makes it trivial to grab front & rear captures for anything.

PC software shows front and back videos in sync.
