Orrrrrr maybe a few extra cups of Jack Daniels? I am running the mongoose cable for use with techstream feeler. These two threads can be easily confused.

Someone can correct me if im wrong i dont know much about the mapecu3 and i know even less about the aem, the map can do a few more thing such as add timing (i know the aem cant) not sure on the rest but it can also controll meth/water injection and nitrous. Its also only 7 wires to install from what urdusa says, and looking at what brice is doing right now on his 1st turbo i would say that aem may have a few more details in the install

If you have a need to alter the fuel mixture while the ECU is operating in closed loop mode you will need the AFR Adjust Module. If you do have have that need, then you do not needed. It is common to use that for a forced induction conversion. Now if you are going to use it with a TRD supercharger with a dealer reflashed ECU, then don't get it. That calibration has the ECU go into open loop as soon as you go into boost.

    Steve (Gadget) Dopler

@Torspd I guess my question is what need is there for the ability to tune in closed loop? should the stock ecu not try and maintain 14.7 in a virtually no boost low load situation? and or could you not just adjust fuel tables in this unit to account for those situation?

If you're using larger injectors, you will need to be able to tune the closed loop cells. Otherwise it will just run extremely rich.

ok, I was just thinking you could put in a negative percentage for those rpm/load tables and compensate for that but I'm pretty green

    A thing or two...
I know there was some talk of putting in the order around the end of the month awhile back. Do we have a more exact time frame yet?
