You are talking about both pieces which insert into receiver on truck right? I find it confusing since the hitch is 2 pieces.

 

Two pieces to make the full one piece as shown on my truck hitch. One piece slides into receiver while other piece slides onto the adjustable piece inside receiver. I took picture of it taken apart and one with it assembled.
