For what it's worth I've been keeping an eye on this thread because I want to upgrade the truck headlights, I just got the same kit for my wrx and there is no headlight bounce it was the 35w 4500k bulbs

EDIT: After driving around last night on rough roads i did notice a slight bounce, now i believe every bulb bounces but seeing as the HIDs are a lot brighter it sticks out more and your eye is able to pick up on it. To me this is not a big deal if your looking for an amazing upgrade they are still 100% worth it and i will now be picking up a set for my truck, just trying to figure out if i want 4500 or 5500 for the truck.

Is it me or do I feel like it throws to much light to the sides? I had a guy putting his hand on the mirror when I was on the side of his car I also adjusted the before driving. The bulb can only go one way correct?

Right now, it is between these and the 2 stroke LED's. Anyone with vast lighting knowledge can explain the difference between the kits? Maybe why one would be better than the other, more durable, better light ouput, etc? Thank you in advance!!!

Haha... since ive been in the same boat as some of you a few months back.

I got the 55w 5500k kit despite the "bounce" discussed and shown here. I have indeed seen it happen on my truck but I think only because I was looking for it. Things like this normally irritate me but this is a non issue to me. Light output is superb and I'd buy a replacement set tomorrow if they went out.

Just got my H11 2 stroke LEDs for the high beams.
Couldn't get them to seat in the reflector housing. Anyone have any tips/trick?

Check the tabs again and make sure they're not too large. May need a little trimming/ filing.

Installed the 6500k H11B 50W Morimoto Elite kit along with the XB LED fog lights all from TRS. Quality of the parts is great and the install was easy and straight forward. I haven't seen any bounce, but I have only driven about 4-5 miles with them and had the brighter fogs on which may hide it (if I even have it). I've got my fingers crossed that mine are fine. I used the special "Tacoma-HD Bulb Seals" and the fit is super tight.

I am very happy with the light output. I like the look of the Fog with Yellow LaminX when not light up too. We get lots of snow and fog here so the yellow light should help in those conditions a lot.

@mulishan909 - They came with my kit from TRS. The Part # according to my invoice for the seals is SP280. I haven't driven enough at night to tell one way or the other if I have the bounce. The bulbs are VERY firmly in place. The passenger side was an especial pain to twist into the lock position due to the density of the seal. I really cant see how the bulb would jiggle. I'm very optimistic that I won't have the bounce. I will update one way or the other once I log some more night hours over varying terrain with them.

No there shouldn't be. The stock projectors are rather open in design, so they should dissipate the additional heat well.

@TRDTacoma0817 I haven't had any issues. I put my hand on the lights and they don't feel any different temp. wise vs. my halogens. Someone could get scientific and actual take temperature readings. Other 3rd. Gen guys/gals have run the 50W systems with no issue. Take the plunge! The light output is awesome.

@bbrown , drive on bumpy roads or over railroad tracks and see. I still get the bounce even with the high density O rings, by the way I'm on 3 inch with 33s

First kit bought in Oct 2015 for my 2016,
    Same with bounce.
2ND kit bought in Oct 2016 for my 2017
    Same with bounce
