    I wanted a way

I cut two 2x6 the same length and layed one flat on top of the bed rail. The other was knotched and screwed to the face of the first 2x6 so it fits snug on top and underneath the rail. Drilled two holes for bolts, mounted the jack, and put on some butterfly washers. I used the c clamps for my top to cover where I knotched the 2x6. IMG_0235.jpgIMG_0236.jpg

I like it. I have been planning to make a shelf there anyway. Might as well incorporate this and get the jack out of the floor.

Well depending on these photos the only time a Toyota gets stuck is when you bury it to the frame.
Where do you live? Maybe you live close enough for us to become Tacoma friends. I wish I knew someone from my area that I could meet over here.

Are you referring to what a bad head gasket can look like or if you got a bad head gasket?

I have a mount on my rear bumper but didn't like how open it was to other people and the elements. The weight of it when I opened the bumper was also a little much and made working out of my truck a hassle. This was the best option I could come up with for the jack without making permanent holes in my truck and it also opens up the possibility of mounting flashlights, axe, shovel, bed lights underneath or whatever else you can come up with.
