    No sir!! Isopropyl is effective at removing old wax and all sorts of other things from paint short of what clay bar can remove. I don't do this, but many folks wipe their entire vehicles down with IPA before waxing in order to have maximum bondage of wax to paint. It's also very effective at cleaning windows.

    Edit: Isopropyl alcohol, that is
