Went to gym yesterday with son b4 he went to work, good time, good workout. He called before getting off work and said he wanted to go again after work,:woot: 2 a days.Said he wants do the same today.
He has to drop 7lbs,by tuesday for his AF orientation. Its funny he has called me more in the last week then he has in the last 6 months. He calls to ask what should i have to eat? He eats like a teenager, cheese steaks, fries, pizza, mac and cheese, repeat.Typical kid diet.

You sound like you've experienced what I went through. I was a lean personal trainer but got ahead of myself and through mathematics out the window in terms of proper weight increases on the squat rack. I was so adamant about building a strong foundation with the mentality that houses are built on concrete, not sticks that I ignored what I knew not to do.

Anyhow, I was bed ridden for months and turned to whiskey for the pain because at the time I didn't have medical insurance. Being a veteran the VA Hospital took forever to get to me but finally got in for PT. Fast forward 4 years and I'm 230 lbs and sluggish. When I got injured I was 160 and very strong. That said, in recent days I've committed to get back to my old self.

Count me in on this challenge/support group.

Definitely will. I'm a power plant operator so my job is an evil profession if I let it. It's hours of boredom and seconds of panic. Lots of time to sit around and snack, watch movies, etc.

Weigh in this AM, down 2.4 lbs from 5 days ago.
Did a little workout tonight, really hit my core pretty good but I'll probably feel the lunges more than anything else.

Thanks, I'm pretty excited with how it's going, the toughest part is the eating, next time we go shopping I need to do some meal planning so I have more than 2 healthy options for meals.

 My son went to his AF recruiter yesterday and weighed in at 184. He was at 190 last Thursday. They told him they would like him to be at 185 by Tuesday. He asked me to help him. So he ate right and went to gym with me twice a day. Made me feel good that he ask for my help. Here's hoping he makes it through his PT evaluation today.
    He really wants this :playball:
By the way this old guy is hurting.

Woke up stupid hungry. Trying to work on my evening proportions.

Working 12 hr shifts makes a person want to eat a huge final meal of the day, then go to bed. Tying to change that habit, but wake up hella hungry.

I forced myself to eat a big Apple very slowly. So far so good.

    ~#221. Its the right direction.

Happened to catch my coach at a good time today and told her that my shoulders are sore so she drew me up a workout that really hits the legs, i really hope I can walk tomorrow without cringing with every step.
    IMG_5363.jpg
We switched the plank and reverse lunges so we weren't hitting legs thrice in a row.

Not sure if any of y'all have heard of it but I did Cize tonight (basically a dance workout, great cardio and helps with coordination as well), 40 minutes of dancing and 5 minutes of ab work.

Not sure what I'm gonna do tomorrow but I gotta skip abs, I've hit them on every single workout and they're pretty darn sore so I'll focus on arms/shoulders and run, maybe some sprints or box jumps as well.

Sounds like fun, I would say it counts as it sounds like you were at least a little active.

Honestly you probably won't care for it, I didn't like it until I did it a few times, it's aimed more at the younger generation and women (Everybody I work out with except one of our deputies is female so we do some workouts more geared for them), but after I got decent at it I figured out it's pretty fun and it's good cardio.

Keep it up man, start back slowly with the exercise and remember most weight loss or gain is the results of your diet.
Stay with it and you'll get there.

Thanks man. Slowly coming back. Taking a month to stretch, walk, and work on range of motion. My food intake is dialing back in and I'm thinking cleaerer. Less lethargic. Sleeping better, too.

Hit the gym this morning and did the weigh in...
    232 #s
A little depressing because I'm in the gym 4-5 days a week bustin my ass and the weight is being stubborn.
My diets jacked and I need to get that squared away. That big ass beef critter and beers I had last night didn't help, but it was my b'day so I kinda jumped the rails.
