What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

After the long process of bringing it back from the grave, auto to manual and 2.7 to 3.4 I finally got to start it up for the first time today. Weather has not been cooperative and I had to replace all the fuel lines but it is finally at that point for me, which is a great victory. Still need to connect all the vacuum lines, canister and sensors but it is alive

In other news, I just finished extracting an F150 that sunk to the frame in powder trying to cross a field. Dug him most of the way and pulled him up the hill out of the field and back onto the road.

CARRY A SNOW SHOVEL IF YOUR'RE DRIVING IN SNOW, ITS THE BEST RECOVERY TOOL YOU CAN HAVE IN THAT SITUATION

 

Get a QUALITY snow shovel aswell.

Whoops... yeah I like to get the ones that hold the handle in with a wedge so you can always remount the handle if it snaps or you can get creative and use your HiLift handle or maybe just a stick.

 

That sucks, but I'm sure there's more people that own Tacomas that live in your area.

Some one in my family took my shovel out of the bed of my truck yesterday and I didn't check before I left. I did a lot of digging with lid of my plastic Ammo can holder thing. Worked pretty good.

 

Damn!! That's a lot of miles for a supercharged truck. How many miles until you installed the SC?

Bought the truck new in 1997 and installed the supercharger 5 months later when it came available. So pretty much it's whole life. I have the complete supercharger rebuilt every 150,000-175,000 miles or so

 

I want your single cab. Such a cool and rare combo

 

Which is why I really love Toyota's. Bet no other company can top what you have. Where do you get your supercharger rebuilt? Sooner or later I'm gonna need to replace the rear bearings.

 

can either do it yourself or if the rotors need replaced a shots needs to do it. Few out there but nothing like sending it to the makers of the unit at Magnason to let them go through it.

 

More damage I noticed from yesterday.... I can't fix this one...

 

Build a high-clearance bumper and hack it off. Problem fixed.

 

That's what I thought about, now that I have a job again things should start to flow.

 

What kinda job? I like the look of HC bumpers even if they aren't really necessary on first gens. They have a good fit with the rest of the truck
