I used to have this a little with my 07. Was most likely a combination of axel wrap (2in blocks installed by previous owner) and worn u-joints. I replaced the u joints /w zerks and took away quite a bit of the issue.

Sounds like typical Tacoma problem. I was told it's driveshaft looses lube and slides in after complete stop. Believe solution is to use grease and grease inside where driveshaft goes in dierential? I'll find out more tomorrow from MLO. Pete told me about it but forgot where he told me to grease

Might want to PM a moderator to move your thread bud. @chris4x4

Could be Driveline clunk. Need to grease up slip yolk. Or axle wrap, make sure you check your u bolts. Or could be the gas when tank is full. When you have less gas it's not as noticeable.

    Yes.
This. Its drive line clunk. Is it when you come to a complete stop and the truck lurches forward to complete the stop? If so, its driveline clunk and you have to grease the yolk on the driveshaft and it goes away for a couple months.... till it comes back. Then repeat process.

Have you looked under your truck lately?

Get under there->locate the boot covering the splines on the driveshaft->undo the carrier bearing to give you slack in the driveshaft->undo the ties securing the boot and push out of way->pull as much of the driveshaft out of the yoke as possible thus exposing the splines->grease the splines->pull boot back in place and secure with wire ties->bolt carrier bearing back up->get out from under truck->drink beer.

    Notes:
*You don't need to fully disassemble the driveshaft to grease most of the splines. Good enough for troubleshooting.
*Use whatever grease you usually use for your u-joints or whatever
*if you ever do take the entire driveshaft down in order to replace the u-joints, you can pull the yoke off and add a 90degree grease fitting onto the end of the yoke.

    edit:

Where I eventually put an additional grease fitting:
