After selling my 2010 Access cab Tacoma 4x4 with 53K miles, I purchased this new project I call "TRD TAQUITO". I purchased it on May 20th, 2016 with approx. 55K miles. It was completely stock aside from the after market wheels and offroad tires. I will list the upgrades I have made and the mods. I will update regularly as more upgrades are made. This build will be intended for Sandunes, Desert, and as an Overland adventure truck. I'm stoked to build this truck, as there are a lot of amazing Tacomas on this Forum and all over the roads. I'am pretty new to this community, but have already received some love from a few with some decisions. Thanks TW members and Toyota enthusiasts.

Plasti Dipped all emblems

 

June 2016, Picked up an aFe cold intake from another Taco owner in PHX for $150. Installed the following day.

 

June 2016, Ordered and installed EZ down tailgate assist shock.

 

July 2016, purchased and installed AVS low profile hood deflector.

 

July 2016, installed all interior white LED lights and organizers for center console. Purchased on Amazon.

August 2016, I quit thinking about it and bought some Weathertech mats front and back. They are awesome!

I love my Weather Techs!! Was my 2nd mod! 1st was the rear view riser bracket.

 

Oh dang! I wasn't aware there was a mod for that! Gonna have to look into it right NOW.

Well this showed up today

 

did the install kit work well for you, ive read alot of good, but a couple bad reviews on Amazon...?

 

Yea. The install went pretty good. Given the fact that I've never installed a stereo before. The instructions are pretty clear and the metra kit fits really well. The only tough time I had, and it really wasn't too bad, was stuffing all the cables and harnesses behind the deck again. Kinda tricky, but it works. I really like this set up. Makes the sound of the truck 100% better.
