Stock is neodymium, that small magnet is stronger than a ferrite magnet 10 times its size and actually provides better sound quality. Any high end speaker uses neo, not ferrite. Not saying stock is high end but huge magnets are a thing of the past.

    Looks good.

Anyone know if the Premium & Technology package truck have different speakers than shown? Also curious if anyone's looked to see which JBL speakers are used in the JBL-optioned trucks?

Thanks man, not to sure if the trucks with JBL have a different speaker setup. My guess is they probably have the same crappy speakers my truck had cause I highly doubt toyota changes something like that, they probably want to keep it all the same across the board for them. Less money and less parts LOL

JBL does have an added amp and sub, but haven't had any need to pull my door panels to see what lies behind them.

Just curious, I'm pretty happy with the sound on the JBL version.

Last week had the transmission TSB applied. Since then I have not noticed hunting while on cruising on the highway. This week I got my Leer 180 delivered, coated in Line-X and installed. Got the slider/screened Winddoors, LED Domelight, Removable slider front window, headliner, and Love it.

Today going ice fishing, so checked on some spots on the way to work this morning.

Shell looks great! I'm planning on line-xing mine as well. How much did the coating cost you?
Oh, and did you get order the shell without paint?

Thank you. I am very happy with the way it turned out. The place I got mine line-x'd was also the Leer dealer for the area. He quoted me $695 to have it coated. I asked about ordering unpainted and he said the product would stick great to the painted surface after a buffering and it wouldn't be any cheaper to order unpainted. He ordered it white so it was easy to see where they had already sprayed. They even pulled the Leer sticker in the back and puttied the divot so it would be smoothed over. Line-X of Madison, WI.

You are welcome. Painting it the same color as the bumper really makes it disappear. It looks good!

Well terrific. I can't un-see that difference in magnet size. Guess a speaker upgrade is in order now too. I gotta stop reading these posts. It's going to end up costing a fortune.

Thanks for the info. I'm going today to test drive the standard. I'd rather stick with auto cause I sit in a lot of traffic. But at the same time ,this auto trans sucks in traffic too. The whole funky shifting this can get annoying
