That moose sure dont look happy

Maybe as the merger brings down Cabelas it'll bring up bass pro in equal measure. ...then they'll both just be merely OK stores

Decided to stop going to the other guys to fix the basic stuff on the truck. I like the service bay at the dealership so I am here for an oil change. I haven't been here for a while, they said my springs have a recall...lol I replaced those a while ago.

Good morning Rob. Yep stationery engineers boil water and the plant does not move. @Tractorman if he isn't an ex pit snipe odds are many if not most of the people he works with were Navy MM and BT pit snipes. We were propulsion engineers, because our steam plant moves. Well hopefully, if the snipes don't groove the ship don't move. Most everyone including family knew us as propulsion engineers. However...

When my son was in Cub Scouts and it was Pinewood derby time I went all out on his race car. Just like my father and grandfather did with me, cut shotgun slugs open and melted the lead, shaped the car, polish the axles, tuned the wheels, shaped the body, etc. I had him do most of the work and he learned a lot. He asked if he would win and I said I hope so I am a propulsion engineer after all. Sure enough he won and beat out more than a hundred other cars. As he was casually walking up to the microphone the Den leader said Cody you act like you knew you were going to win how did you know? He said because my dad is a pee pee engineer. The laughter brought down the house. About the brightest red think I've ever turned.

I like those shovels on Francis, nice moose there moose :)

Thanks for the explanation and fantastic story.
We did pinewood derby with both boys during our years stationed in England.

That moose is NOT my trophy. In fact, he died of natural causes and is the property of the base. He's hung in the stairwell of our squadron since I got here in 2001, and gosh knows how long before that. About 2006 we had a name the moose contest. I suggested Francis after the then Chief of the Port. The name won, the real Francis is now the civilian Air Terminal Manager, and my top boss. So now you know.

    ... TLDR?

Ha wonder how many Bullwinkles were submitted LOL. Large whitetails mounted in bars around here usually get that name. Not very original.

Would like to see a picture of your trophy bull. Well maybe not it would likely cause me to put in for a tag in Alaska LOL. Mn. had a once in a lifetime drawing until a few years ago. They are dying off fast and they aren't totally sure why so stopped hunting for them. The wolves are exploding in numbers here. Hmmm...

    Thanks Rob.
I'm getting some sleep finally. The feeling of an ice pick in eye is mostly gone. Dr first treated like an injury infection. Turned out to be shingles cousin infection. So had to change meds. Going after lunch for follow up.
At least I can see again.
Thanks again for checking on me. Really appreciate that.

Glad you're on the mend. They were showing video from the Hill Country on the news last night. What looked like smoke blowing thru the trees was actually pollen from the Junipers. Just to add insult to your injury.

You know ducks are better when cooked in an orange sauce, they do not protect your under carriage very well

Late morning everyone. Shop call off work again today. Fine by me, I really have no interest in skating around in the snow and ice. I know there will be some long days/weeks to come though to catch up.

On the other hand the I think the view out the window is pretty cool.
