Shitty part is I work for a Bay Area company most our work is down here.
Moved from Oakland to Walnut Creek for the better schools and ended up putting my kids in private school anyway. Biggest mistake I made was leaving Oakland.
    Rant over.

If you catch up to @Overlanerd in the right lane, a few cars ahead, have your kid flip him off for us.

I wouldn't leave Sonoma County unless I was going north.

    North meaning OR and WA.

i have family in northern WA, its beautiful but i'd lose my mind with that much rain. It would have to be eastern WA for me. Similar CA climate.

I just want a place where the wife and i make good money and can actually afford a home. Because we cant here and we make good money and its beginning to weigh on me.

I live on the peninsula. I live 7.2 miles from work. On average, it takes me 20 minutes to get to work in the morning and 50-70 minutes to get home. That is driving. Riding my bicycle, it takes 30-40 minutes to work and the same back. The down side to riding a bicycle is getting hit by motorists as they back out of their driveway and not looking... That sucked, big time. I still try and ride my bicycle, but it doesn't always happen. I figure it s a pay to play kind of thing here in California, especially in the major metropolitan areas. We have whatever kind of lifestyle you want to live, available to all. If that is what is important to you, then stick around. If that isn't as important, then find a place that suits your tastes. I, personally, love living here. I plan on raising my family here. I espouse the values that are the majority here. I choose to raise my children with those same values. Yeah, I pay a butt ton more than I would if I moved my family back to Michigan, but I also enjoy a much more diversified lifestyle. Growing up visiting my family in UP of Michigan, I always thought they were a little nutty thinking Taco Bell was Mexican food...

2nd in from R is my fav ATM, looks like it will hide dirt well. Also keep in mind my new wheels will be a desert sand color.
