after doing a basic install on my compressor, then thinking things over, I think I am going to redo the air lines. Im thinking I dont necessarily need a leader hose.
This is the new plan:
compressor -

$6 Push to Connect Male T Branch Fitting 3/8" OD, 1/4" NPT

1/4" NPT T branch fitting with 3/8" OD push to connect air tubing fittings
- 3/8" OD air tubing to
front:

Push to Connect Straight Male Fitting 3/8" OD, 1/4" NPT Thread

push to connect 1/4" NPT to quick connect.
rear: push to connect 1/4" NPT to quick connect.


what do you think @stairgod @HolyHandGrenade ? Just eliminating the leader hose

I think I'd worry about heat on the plastic T. That's the point if the steel leader. I have no idea how hot these compressors get, but I wasn't taking any chances.

 

hmm ok. Good point. Need to rethink this again

 

New guy here. Been loving my Tacoma so far but just wondering if any of the long Islanders had issues with the transmission fluid being low on there 3 gen Tacomas.

Been reading a lot of horror stories on this.

Did you get your ES Radiator Support mounts installed @bski22 ?

 

yes he did.... now I have mine sitting in my cup holder waiting for my lazy ass

It was pretty easy. Less than an hour to install.

 

Whats your take after install?

 

I definitely SEE a difference compared to my OEM mounts. But those were thoroughly trashed.
I don't FEEL a difference. But I've done so many things to the trucks front end, that I can't really perceive any nuances/changes.

But the Poly mounts should help. I've got a heavy front end: dual battery in the engine bay, heavy front bumpers, 12k winch and 1/4" @Mobtown Offroad IFS skids

 

So you're seeing more clearance at the fender?

Before you put your bumper did you previously install skids? If you did... any loss in height due to the added weight of the ifs skid/transmission etc?

 

Just wanted to let y'all know that I just visited Huntington Toyota Service Center off of Jericho Tpke.

After having another alignment shop "do my alignment" and not give me a print out and instead of going back and telling them to "fix it" I called the 4x4 shop who shall remain nameless and they said it would cost me extra to re-do the alignment and get the proper caster numbers. The truck has been tracking left since the day I got it back and they said they would take it back but I would have to leave it for a entire day...

Toyota was awesome and first rate service center both Gene(manager) and Scott(tech)hooked me up and took it right in. Sure enough toe was out of wack, so was the camber and caster was pushed back as well. The tie rod nuts had to be heated up to come loose but everything else was easy. Kind of points to maybe the alignment shop never adjust the toe and camber? or just never did my alignment all together? either way if you guys are looking for a quality group of guys to do your maintenance or if you had any questions. Those are the guys to go see.

The last words on the phone from the 4x4 shop after I told them I was going else where was I wouldn't let a dealership align a shopping cart...

 

That is pretty funny though haha

 

It's even funnier that they had a third party do the alignment and that all the trucks the get back are apparently "perfect" because you know "they know what they are doing" and "we do it all the time with no complaints"... It was pathetic I had to follow up for a week to try and get numbers back to no evail. Sucks living out here when you have things to do and you can't get outside to do it yourself and have to rely on a shop.
