Exactly. Even in Hollister, there were a couple rutted out rocked spots that I watched @DannyBFresco 3 wheel over and teeter totter a bit on, the LT just crawled right over it. The second time back up that trail I could tell I was feeling cocky, knowing I could do it no problem.

 

Another reason why I admire the capabilities of LT suspension.

 

How well the 4.88s work with your 295s, or you planning on hitting up dirty-fives asap? Living on an island in Hawaii, I think 4.88 would work, cause we're going short distances anyway. Also wanted to go 295s as well.

My thought is: lockers are for when you're already stuck, but knowing it's there will make it easier to get over confident.

 

Ok, new plan, apparently I didn't change my order fast enough and they already shipped 4.56 gears. Sooooo do I wanna pay return shipping for 4.88s or just stick with 4.56. Hmmmm.

 

I'm just sayin, your ass end kicked up in front of me and one wheel was like 4 feet off the ground, I had a panic moment for you. I didn't tell anyone about you changing your pants afterwords

Had a great time at Hollister Hills SVRA this past weekend.
Grabbed a couple roasts and some potatoes on the way, cooked them in the Dutch Oven. We were all starving so I overloaded the coals and cooked it really fast, even though I wanted to slow roast it all for 3 hours lol


The new leveler blocks, basically legos, worked great. Parked on as level ground as I could find but was still all wonky, the levelers had the tent almost perfectly level. No more waking up leaning against the wall


Some posing at the top of the lookout point. Got stuck on the one corner that was crazy muddy, everything else was easy peasy. Thanks to @cbechtold (and his dad ) for the tug. A winch or mud terrains and Id have been fine, just went a little to fast and took a bad line through the deep mud.


And here's @DannyBFresco stuck in the same spot on the way back down (which I made through with throttle control and curse words about mud). His recovery got a little sketch right at the end when his truck decided to slide to the left halfway off the hill while being tugged to the right. Massive butt pucker on everyone part right there, but everyone made it through safe.




Pismo trip is next on the list. Gotta get some shit installed first

Definitely a hole with the edges in brown. I took that one photo and then forgot my phone during the recovery because I thought he was gonna go down the hill. The trail went to the right and he was gasing and turning right but the truck just kept sliding to the left down the hill.

 

Just enough mud to scare the shit out of you. Story for the memory books.
