True! Mine is an automatic and on a hill, if I slam the pedal to the floor, she downshifts and hauls. Is the 4 cylinder really that much more reliable over the V6? What problems have you seen? Also are our engines the 2TR-FE 4 cylinder? If so, then URD make a supercharger for our engines that would probably do pretty well.

Oh ya the 4 cylinder motor has been proven and its basically bulletproof. Should have went with the 5 speed, so much nicer to choose your gear and it helps a lot over the automatic! I plan on keeping mine for a long time!!! People put hundred's of thousands of miles on these 4 cylinders as long as you keep up with the regular maintenance the motor will run forever!

I would! Trust me there has been lots of issues with the new 6's but some are fine and others there has been a bunch of problems. You've read up some of the stuff going on here with the new trucks! Have you seen any complaints about the 2016 4 cylinders, not really LOL!!!

LOL That's true! I just assumed it was because there were so few 2.7L 3rd gen guys on here lol. Honestly for the cost of the Georgia Ad Valorem Tax, combined with the sales tax, the loss I'd take would probably pay for the URD supercharger. We do have the 2TR-FE engine, right?

Utility model doesn't have rear speakers from the factory . I'd have to run wires to add them to mine.

Wow really.... Well my 2013 SR didn't have rear speakers and it wasn't a utility either.... That's Crazy! But you have heated mirrors and no rear speakers, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever!

If you supercharge your 2.7 it will make more whp and wtq then a v6. Probably would have better mpgs and more useable of a powerband too. It'd probably run forever as well. Sounds like the best of both worlds to me.

I'd definitely supercharge a 4 cylinder again. Had zero issues with my supercharged Honda

No links on how to install them but it's quite simple, tilt the mirror all the way down with the power then pull evenly on each side and the glass will pop right off, then unplug the two wires for the heat and then take the new one an plug the two wires onto it and the wires can go on either plug! Then you just center the mirror and pop it right back on by evenly pressing on the center with a microfiber towel!

Once you get your new ones you can flip them over and you will see how it attaches!

Moe... I don't right like you. I've never met you & I know I don't like you. Why? Well, this is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down and I'd like to take a minute just sit right there. And I'll tell you how I became the prince of my Tacoma.

We both bought the same Taco, but mine is cooler because it's the Magnetic metallic Gray (Or whatever it's called). When I first was looking into buying a Tacoma I really waffled (Mmm Waffles) back & forward between 2x4 or 4x4; ended up with 4x4. Well, I thought I'd never use it and didn't see a reason why people lift their trucks, put aggressive tires, metal bumpers and mod their trucks. I planned on keeping mine basically stock. But I found Tacomaworld & your threads about the items you've done. And I WANT TO DO SOME OF THEM TOO!

I wanna lift my truck 2".

I wanna put larger tires in it.

I wanna actually use 4x4 for 4x4 things and not just run around the city looking like I can.

    I wanna... I wanna....

Haha! Keep up the great information and keep that truck looking good! I like how you've done a lot to it, but IMO it doesn't look overdone. And I like it.

    Enjoy!

When I first started reading this I actually thought you hated me . But once I got a little into it I started laughing my ass off!!! Your pretty clever with your words. And I'm here to benefit the community as much as myself! I appreciate the complements!
