Hey guys, first post here! I'm a happy owner of a 2017 Tacoma Limited in blue. My previous car was a 2016 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Ultimate (it's a mild beast). I'm not planning to mod this truck at all, but I do have one thing I will change in which I will mod the LED DRL's to stay on always.

I've done this with my Genesis Coupe and made a Youtube video on how to do it. I'm going to make a video for you guys as well in case anyone cares for it.

I've already figured out the circuitry change I will make, but I need to find some nice silicone paste to use that is high temp for covering the hole I will make in the relay box. More on that in the video coming up. Just stay tuned to the 3rd gen Forums section for my post once I complete this small mod.

In case @gearcruncher sees this, I know your rule is not to give out the tech manual on a 0 post person, but being that I'm brand new and am planing to contribute to the community, maybe you can PM me the file anyway? No hard feelings if you prefer to hold off a bit.

Anyhoo, enough going on and on, be on the look out and please sub my youtube channel. I know the videos are from my past Genesis Coupes, but I always look for new ideas on making How To videos to help others.

hey all...new Toyota owner here.... just got a dumb quick question for you all..

I have to manually turn my lights on and off on my 2017 toyota tacoma trd off road... but I have left them on before and they seem to turn off just fine... Can i keep them on all the time or will they run my battery down? The guy at the dealership told me this truck didnt come with the lighting package or whatever, so I would have to turn them on and off each time i start and turn off the truck... thanks all

    Welcome to TW!

They should turn off on their own, mine do if I ever leave them on.

Well to be fair in my OP, I did mention I was going to do an "always on LED DRL" mod, at the same time I said I wouldn't mod. So let me clear myself up.

What I meant is I'm not interested in trying to get more performance out of this motor, nor am I interested in altering anything suspension/wheel/tires. The LED DRL mod is because I've always loved how they looked on many cars that have them, but do NOT want to leave my light stalk on Auto to have them. I want control over my headlights, but I want the DRL's on always.

I will create a new thread in the 3rd gen once I get this going very soon. I promise.

As for the DFW group, I'll check out the thread @SuperBad
