That sucks. 3 days for my new one, and I thought that was bad. Nothing worse than parking your beautiful new truck away from everyone just to come out and find a white ding on your passenger door.

Another time I stopped for coffee, came back to my truck to find a minivans hood wedged under my front bumper. When I reversed my suspension dropped an inch. No damage to my truck aside from two little scratches under my bumper from their license plate bolts. The van... uh wow, smashed everything on the front end. How does one not notice that they just destroyed the whole front of their vehicle.

It's not the worst thing in the world, but some idiot decided to tip his shopping cart over behind my truck. Guy was too lazy to walk to the cart return 20 feet away. In his defense he was driving a dodge lifted 20 feet in the air.

Not a bad idea anyways, with the morons in this world. How much does a decent one like that go for?

Mine was about $380 with hardwire kit and rear camera. But that's getting to the upper end. You do need to hardwire in some matter so it has power while you're parked and away.

    I suggest researching here: https://www.blackboxmycar.com/collections/parking-mode-dash-cams

Years ago, I took my manual RWD car "95 Nissan 240sx" to get inspection sticker. I'm one of those guys that watch you work on my car but for good reasons. They put your drivewheels on a roller to do emissions. Well, she thought my car is FWD so my front wheels are on the roller. I told her hold up, my car is rear wheel drive. She didn't understand me. I said the back tires turns, not the front. She even more confused and continued to do the test then I said Hey!!! You're gonna drive my car through the wall dammit. I could not believe this inspection person doesn't understand FWD vs RWD. Is it your first day?

I'll check that out a little more, much appreciated. I don't have a camera in my tailgate already.

It not bad if its obviously another person that cares about their vehicle. I just really hate it when its some soccer mom in some POS mini van parked all cock-eyed in the spot right next to me. There could literally be dozens of open spots but they park right next time mine.

I'm sure some buttholes do it on purpose.

I back in and always park with a curb next to my drivers door. This puts me at no chance of having a car on one side of my truck and their passenger's side door against my other side.

If they are alone their drivers door is likely to be away from my truck unless they back in, leaving me at low to no ding probability.

Back when I was a Kid I had a R/C Truck w/ Large Wheels. I would drive it until the batteries would run out so just about 20-30. Back the I lived in a house where people would park in the back of there houses kinda like a townhouse. Well we also had a Gravel alley. If I knew the what I know now I would have never done it.

I thought about cutting a pool noodle in half long ways. Then stick two magnets on it.

Then you set it on the truck doors horizontally and it's a pool noodle foam door trim thingy to prevent door dings if you really have to park in a tight spot.

Take them off when you leave.

Kinda stupid but I bet it would work. Put 5 of em on there, protect the whole door.

I didn't do it tho, it's gonna look stupid and people will take pics of it and your truck might end up on the WTF thread.
