3rd Brake Light question

    I heard on one of the forums (cant remember which one) that the 3rd brake light is the same for 1st and 2nd gens (specifically 2001-2004 & 2005-2010). By this I mean their shape, dimensions and screw points. Anyone know if this is true, because there is a price difference on ebay

    the 95 to 04 are the same but 05 and up are differant the lens are the same size and shape but the screw holes are in differant spots
