We live on the wrong (east) side of 101 in SJ. The nosy bastard with no visible means of support who lives across the street keeps an eye on things when we're not home. Wasn't for him, every house on the street would've been picked clean by now.

Unfortunately the dirt bags have cars, possibly stolen, and make their way over here to the west side.

Saw a lot of these. I was a Swing Shift Supervisor at ABF in Oakland for two brutal years. As a youngster I was a Casual working the docks in Sac, for CF.

Techies have been moving here for a while. Too expensive in SF, or Silicon Valley. Good for my home value. There are some nice hoods here. Even close to McArthur. I lived in the King Estates (off Keller) area for 18 years. Two years ago we moved to Sequoia Hills. First year, on Crest Ave, in King Estates, we were burglarized twice in 6 months. And a dude was thrown out of a car and murdered on my neighbors side yard. When we moved two years ago we were burglarized 10 months after were moved in. There are some good parts, as I said, but it's still Oakland.

Now that they've extended BART to nowhere down here, the miscreants can head up to the East Bay much more conveniently starting later this year. Should take the pressure off your neighborhood and reduce the stolen car count. :D

LOL. I started on the dock in SAC for a 100-door breakbulk terminal when I was in college. Everything between San Diego and Seattle came through us, and so did everything from SFO to DEN. Plus local P&D of course. I worked into hostling, then eventually to dock supervisor for several years (the dock crew dubbed me The Little Hitler haha), then went back to hostler when I was preparing to leave. During my time there, we absorbed everything when System 99 went bankrupt, and when Peter's Trucking went tits up. Those were the most insane nights of my young life. Hundreds of additional pieces of equipment flooding the yard and flowing on the street, and god knows how many tons of unmanifested freight we had to document manually. We were dumping trailers in the public street like dead bodies so more could get in. Like Hueys being pushed off aircraft carriers during the fall of Saigon.

    Triggering my PTSD, man! :bananadead:

@Bentrodder Wanna stick some metal to some metal for me? Also need a engine crossbrace if you're interested in the work. And all of that is an excuse to get James his box of stuff, if I have to spend monies on the truck to get him his box, so be it.

    Pfffffff.

No need for that. I can send a UPS call tag before I'd have you make a trip just for shits and giggles.
