@surfrat $1200 installed for a RevTek spacer lift is not unrealistic for a dealership. the kit in Canadian stores retail from anywhere between $550-$800 depending on what the retailer wants to sell it for. Labour for doing just the front spacers are 2.4 hours and at most dealerships that's $250-$300 right there then you still have your blocks or ad-a leafs still to install. So realistically $1200.00 isn't all that bad and well its always going to be cheaper when you do it yourself. . . . .

Took advantage of the 70 degree weather here today and gave mine a much needed bath. Then, it was time for some chrome-reduction surgery...

From my second trip to Anza Borrego. Basically a stock 16' TRD OR, but planning for a 3" lift before summer.

Here in Florida, the Dealer had Tints added to the Front windows that match the backs as part of a "Protection" package. That also includes floor mats, door edge guards, mud flaps and door pull pocket protectors. So whatever the back tint level is, it's legal here!

How hard was the install? Trying to determine if it's worth it or if I would just end up messing it up lol.

It's straight forward. Measuring is important so be sure you take your time. Nothing difficult about it. I took my time and it took me about an hour.

Perfect, thanks man! Did you use a hand rivet gun or an air? That is the only thing I am missing from the needed tools.

I was able to find the instructions online as well for anyone that is interested to see what all goes into installation. Seems as described, straightforward but important to measure twice and drill once.

I used a hand rivet gun. That was actually the hardest part. It was a decent gun but the rivets are big and the spread on the gun was wide so it was tough. My hand still hurts! Otherwise it was straight forward.

    Good morning everyone,

I am a little late in joining this site. Over the years I have owned a Gen 1 Tacoma that had 300,000 miles before I sold it, had a Gen 2, and now a Gen 3 (2016) with 2000 miles. So far I am happy with the truck. Yes I had the TSB done to to the transmission but other than that the truck is mostly box stock. Just like with my other Tacoma trucks I plan on a few mods (like getting rid of those wheels). Anyway hope to find this web site a good source of information even though I have been around a block a few times. Yes I have read a number of posts from members and so far I have changed my oil two times. One at 1000 miles and one at 2000 miles. Mind you I am a shade tree mechanic from the olden days and have tons of engine rebuilds under my belt. Yes I still have a timing light, dwell meter and distributor wrench! I could care less that the "experts" say you are good for 10,000 miles before your first oil change. Anyway here are a few pictures. Hope photo bucket works for me.
