    Yeah but the isolators on the stock Dakars aren't on the upper and thats where the squeak comes from

    Mine squeak pretty good after a rain. But then it goes away. It doesn't bother me really.

    They held up great for a long time. After a summer of hard wheeling, I was starting to lose one. After that, I removed, disassembled, painted, and rebuilt them. They squeak every now and then but it doesn't bother me anymore.

    This is a massive win for Dakar, especially if the price point remains the same. I'm very pleased to see the updated part. I wonder and hope that they updated the
    $81 D29XL Leaf Spring
    D29XL extra leaf with the same improvements.

    it looks like they dumped the front rubber bushing too? That's good too!

    Definitely. I've gotten rid of most of the squeak. It comes back every now and then to say hello, but it either leaves before it's overstayed its welcome or I have become oblivious to it. However, this removes all my desire to look at all pro's pack now. When these wear out, I'll get another set from Dakar with the (hopefully) squeak-free improvements.

    For sure! Unfortunately I can't comment on the price point since I didn't pay for them but I'd assume itd be about the same as the current packs. And yup, no more rubber bushings! They'll be going in next Wednesday!
