I used 1000N force up on spring. All material is A36 just for comparison. shackle length is 5" I think. I didn't get a chance to model it as technically a spring...Just as a bent piece of metal. The program has trouble with the excessive displacements that springs exhibit. A very rough estimate of dimensions, materials, and forces. But it has helped me to visualize what goes on much better

I adjusted the force based on the displacement I was getting with one leaf

got everything buttoned back up, the other side took 1/4 the time once I knew what I was doing and had all the tools out. Then I threw the spacers on all 4 wheels. Feels good not to have to worry about ball joints for a good chunk of time. But Instead of worrying about a ball joint failure now I'm gonna be worrying about the spacers failing lol. Spacers stick the tires out about flush with the flares, maybe a bit more. Doesnt rub the frame anymore but Its rubbing bad on the flare so Ill have to trim that a little bit tomorrow.

LBJ stud nut is 105 ft lbs in my book and the 4 bolts are listed at 43 ft lbs.

I did the 4 underneath to 59 and the one on the bottom to 108 (although both sides are probably way more since the cotter pin hole wasn't lined up) should be good, I'm gonna check them all next week.

You should be fine then. OEM lbj? Get a paint pen and mark the bolts so you can always easily visually inspect them. Will save you the headache and worry that they are backing out on you. Did you loctite them too?

Possible, if the shackle isn't able to rotate freely that would change the effective spring rate.

Well with stock hangars, the weight of the truck makes the shackles instantly want to be at 90° relative to the ground, so anything other than that is adding to the spring rate
