    that's what cupholders are for.

You should use that arm to mount a hatchet, or gun, or something cool. Looks sturdy enough.

I generally use my cup holders for cups. These trucks don't have 47 cup holders like 2nd gens. Plus, I have this giant phone now. It literally won't fit anywhere beside the passenger seat.

    Hatchet:rofl:

Had the powertrax no-slip locker installed today by Tennessee Off-road in Lebanon, TN. I had never used them, or any other shop before. I did quite a lot of calling around before deciding who to hire. The owner, John, was very knowledgeable and confident in his abilities. (Not that this was some super complex project, but I didn't want anyone trying to guess their way through my diff)

He and his wife were very pleasant. I was especially fond of their huge, slobbering, lap warming, Rottweiler. The shop itself was very much chaotic and cluttered, but he always went directly to whatever tool he was hunting without searching. I found that interesting. Ha ha.

I have put roughly 60 miles on the truck since picking it up. I hit about as many driving conditions as I could think of. My initial impressions are exactly what i was told to expect. There is more driveline "slop". I can hear it make some noise when it engages/disengages. It will chirp a tire when turning sharply. The truck tends to slightly understeer if you punch the throttle late into a sharp turn. That's what I was told and that's what I got.

However, I was completely surprised by how mild all these new little quirks are. With no experience, I guess I was fearing the worst, but that's just not the case. It's there and I know it, but it didn't take long at all to adjust my driving habits to minimize the felt effects.

I'm very pleased. Gravel roads are fun now. Ha ha. Looking forward to getting it in the sloppy stuff this weekend.

Nothing to do with the locker, but here's a pic.

I don't notice any understeer but I don't have a sway bar and I have 200 lbs on the roof. leans out and slips the inside more I think. You'll love it.

I'm telling yall now, new seats make it sweet...

    20160620_225659.jpg

Are you still liking the locker?

And may I ask what gears you're running? 19mpg sounds nice with 33s, 285s shouldn't be to much of a difference....

I know. I really need to do that. What kind are yours?

I have driven the truck since last night when I posted that, but yes, I was very impressed by how "streetable" it is.

    Stock 4.30 gears.

Subie wrx, guy wanted like $250. Talked him down to $150. Which it was around a 4-5 hr drive.

Hmm, debating if I want an electric like @smmarine or something like that....

Thank the Lord, I have 4.30s to. 3rz pull them good?

You're talking about swapping in an e-locker axle?

On the street, it's about perfect. The truck felt over geared on 265-70-16s. I was always looking for the non-existent 6th gear on the highway. It feels much better now. Where I notice a little under-gear is when pulling my trailer with my mowers around, but it's a 4 cyl pulling a trailer so that's expected. Still very manageable. Also, I find myself using 4 Lo 2nd & 3rd gear more often than 4 Hi 1st gear when I'm putting around the farm, getting to my hunting holes, and so on. 4 Lo 1st gear is still very low.

The truck still gets great mileage on the hwy. This is the best I've measured. 100% interstate hwy at 70 mph avg.

I don't get anywhere near that in my day to day running around. I haven't measured a tank lately, but it's nowhere near that.

Not an elocker axle, but an aftermarket elocker that sounds to be better than the factory e locker. It is like magnetic or something instead of a motor.

I understand the over geared, pushing 3k rpms heading down the interstate isn't exactly fun...
I can pull my zero turn going 70+ decently easy but getting there is the struggle. I've gotten 23mpg on my way home from a hunting trip (+-80%hwy) doing average 70-75mph with a bed full of camping gear and the inside seats full.

Selectable would be nice. I guess you just have to decide if it's worth the added cost. Come up here and take it for a spin if you want. ha ha.

Haha, I would like a good trip to Tennessee.

    Missed fall 2016 rod run:goingcrazy:

Looked in his build thread, Harrop Eaton locker. Definitely getting one for the front.
