Yeah, pictures really don't do them justice. I normally don't go in for aftermarket wheels but I've been eyeing these for a while and really glad I pulled the trigger.

That's a good point. They are almost identical to the SEMA 4 Runner Pro rims, just with proper dimensions.

Agreed. I went with the BFGs again. Had 265/75/16 KO2s on OEM OR wheels and loved them (which are about to be posted for sale, BTW)

Crawl control is what really got him stuck as it dug itself straight down to the rocker panels. Took him and I 30mins of straight shoveling just to get the wheel fully contacting the ground.

I think I might not be making my point very well...sorry for that. The locker is not what I'm worried about, so let's just forget about lockers for now. I want limited slip for every day use, always there without having to think about finding the button while I'm driving, regardless of speed or road conditions, and one that works better than the auto-LSD. The question is: will a pre-auto-LSD 3rd member from a TRD OR fit into a post-auto-LSD rear end in a newer TRD OR?

I was worried about them on silver. Not a combo that I've seen on a 2nd gen. Looks better than I had thought it would IMO. Now I'm gonna go stare at 'em some more

Yeah should have left anything about the locker out, much clearer now. But I'm still confused by "always there without having to thinking about finding the button while driving" part. Im trying to imagine a situation where I'm like oh crap gotta press the lsd button, oh well doesn't really matter.

iirc only the sport came with the mechanical lsd, OR always had the locker. So you would be giving up your locker, but honestly Im not sure if the 3rds are interchangeable. The ring gears are the same size so one should fit in the other but I think the bolts to mount the third are different because of how the locker actuator sits on the driver side and uses long bolts . It would be easier to buy an entire axle and swap it over, I'm sure someone would even trade axles

I did my best searching for someone that has done it but not much luck

I appreciate the info. I'm not willing to give up my e-locker to gain mechanical LS. If I can't have both I'll stick with what I have now. Thanks again.
