I don't see why it wouldn't work. I'm clearing those with my Duratrac's with no rubbing at all. It seems like that's the tire size of choice without a lift pretty much regardless of tire.

It would be nice to get them on the truck and out of my dining room... my house is smelling like tires. :)

They still pack full of clay pretty easily, but 2nd and 3rd gear subaru mode (4L) cleans them out in a hurry, then they dig in and just keep fighting. I've already destroyed places i used to get stuck with my hankooks.

Quick question for you Cooper ST Maxx guys. I have pretty much nailed it down to 255/80/17 on either stock sport wheels or FJ steelies. If I did a OME 885 lift on my 2nd gen DCSB would I have to do anything besides removing the mud flaps in order to prevent rubbing? I love the look and utility of that size tire, but I don't want to do much trimming if possible. I could go down to 255/75/17 I guess, but seems hardly anyone is running that size, so no real feedback on the site that I can find.

Im not sure with your wheel backspacing but with my scs wheels have 4.5 back spacing and I have to trim the front fender flare and removed the fender liners

I believe the stockers are around 5" back space.

Hmmm... id say you will probably rub cab mount when flexing like I do (its minimal and not a huge deal) but you will know what youre gonna rub as soon as you get the truck rolling... bring tin snips to the shop with you so you can trim the truck to drive home and then trim as needed when you get home...

My caster is way up at 4.5* and she still rubs the cab mounts... there really is no avoiding it when flexing... but normal driving the only rubbing youll have is with the bottom of the front bunper and the fender liner...

I pulled the trigger on a set of 265/75r16's for my 1st gen and have a couple hundred miles on them now. Stoked on the off road performance! I was on 265/70r16 Michelin LTX M/S2's before which are more of a highway tire, 8lbs lighter and only 2ply so the change was quite substantial. The Michelin's were ~30.25" in dia and the Maxx's are 32" dia in that size on the stock rims. I have an OME lift and sit around 2.5" over stock - no rubbing but UCA is close and frame rail at full lock is close also, might even rub at stuff but no witness marks so I think I'm okay. I added 1.25" wheel spacers to widen my stance yesterday and do have concern about rubbing at the back end of the wheel well with the front wheels partially turned. It's pissing rain for the next few days so I'm going to wait to fully address it.

It also rained heavily the first few days they were on and it seemed to take a while to break them in. They felt 'wander-y' driving home from the shop especially at speed. I checked PSI and they'd only inflated them to 28psi! I pumped them up to 35 and that helped a lot, but still took another 80-100 mi to feel confidently planted on the road. Might have just been me adjusting my driving to the new tire as well.

My fuel mileage suffered, which I expected, but it was a little more pronounced than I'd hoped. Went from ~17 to ~14mpg mixed city/highway driving. I have a V6 Extracab 4x4 with 4.10 gears and have a 36" tall shell that extends over the cab with a roof rack on top so aerodynamic is not part of my trucks vocabulary. I also feel a lot more sluggish off the line accelerating than I did before.

These things absolutely destroy dirt, rock and mud. Can't wait to see how they do in the snow and at the beach. Will report back after some Tahoe action later this month. Also pics will happen as soon as I get some good ones. Truck looks beast with the Maxx's on the spacers.

I am curious what PSI everyone is running these at for highway/town driving as well as on trails. My suspension is fairly stiff and with these at 35 I think I could feel it if I drove over a pea in the road, but it's a truck so that's okay with me.

Pics!!! Took the front mudflaps off after the wheelspacers because they were rubbing during parking lot driving and from looking at the clearance in the of the wheel well I'm going to have to do the pinch weld mod to avoid contact at stuff. Messed around with it a bit today and didn't see any rubbing but I think I could with the enough articulation so I'm gonna do it soon.

Looks good. Will fab a nubster mudflap to sit under the fender at some point as I don't like all the mud on my immaculate white paint lol. Actually it's more that the water thrown up by the tire ends up in the gap under the door which I think could cause corrosion issues for me later on.

Still learning how to flex. Trying to get tipsy like the abandoned barn in the background.

Rears fit, full stuff, no issues there. Anyone who can name that sticker has probably been mountain biking in Moab (hint!).

This is what I'm worried about up front. This is the back of the wheel well on flat ground. After taking that second photo I looked at it also and there was still enough room to wiggle my finger through but it looked tight.
