Can't really see it in the pic, but I added a Pelfreybilt skid today.

Before I did that though, I got out to the car wash and scrubbed all the road salt off. Also did a super thorough undercarriage wash because I'm not taking any chances with BS salt accumulation before I move to Arizona!

Installed this sucker in my TRD Pro today. Was surprisingly very straight forward and an easy installation. I guess that's what should be expected when buying Toyota made parts.

I really love the look of that. Keep us updated with the performance of it. Hopefully it's just as good as it's look. If so, I wouldn't mind purchasing one myself. Where did you purchase this if you don't mind me asking so I can do my own research on it. Thank You!

...what bothers me about this is simple:...there have been NO real changes to the position of the threaded holes in the 2015~2016~2017 model frames structure...which means the 2015 OEM aluminum running boards are identical and will fit all 3 model years.....Yet...the 2015 running boards cost $386....but if ya go online to Tacoma accessories for the 2016/7 models....Toyota is asking $795. for the same items?!...o_O...

...I realize ya charge what ya can....but this just feels kinda crappy of Toyota Corp?!.......

Almost correct. The front mount point closest to the front fender on the 3rd gen is different than the 2nd gen. Bolt spacing is not the same. With that said, 2nd gen running boards will fit, you just only have 1 bolt up front rather than 2. I have 2nd gen nfab steps on my 3rd gen. I'll get a picture of what I mean later on tonight when I get in from work.

I do it for a peace of mind. Use to race dirt bikes and that's one thing you never do. Yeah that is two different worlds but there isn't any harm in letting a engine warm up. Especially in the winter and with these trucks having aluminum blocks. Than I'd assume if u got after market CAI you may consider warning up before all that cold air rushing into a cold block. Idk I may be wrong, still gona warm my shit up

Pretty sure the Gen 2 running board is mostly plastic, while the 2016-17 Gen 3 version is extruded aluminum. That is the reason for the big price change. In Canada, we can't get the Gen 3 aluminum running boards, or the aluminum Predator steps for 2016-17's. I had to buy a used set of US Predator steps for my 2017 DC Off Road. Does not make sense to me.

IDK if its stamped or not but i do know it was a custom build from toyota. His brother

I lied Its a pro his 2016 is the OR. Im at his shop Must be nice to have a lot of money for 2 trucks in 2 years but he own his own fab company. Better marry her lol. But looking at it i still wouldnt pay that much. toyota marks these trucks up way to much.

Yep. Use this all the time. 5th and 6th gear are overdrive gears. 6th is too tall for any speed under 65, but it seem so that the ECU doesn't recognize this. I fight the gear hunting by using sport mode and setting the highest gear to 5th - works like a charm. Combine this strategy with ECT and the truck drives how it should have been designed..

Hey ,no one ever said it's bad to warm a vehicle up. Not like it hurts anything. If u wanna do it that way than that's fine.not saying you or I was wrong. Just cause some YouTube video says something doesn't make it the truth. Yet agian not saying it's wrong but you can't always believe everything you see online

he tells you in the video why it's bad.

and to flip your argument against info found on the internet, but because it was on the internet doesn't mean it isn't true. do you prefer to get all of your info from magazines and physical books? hell, everything on this forum is "on the internet".
