Never mattered to me.

 

Thank god I didn't have this instructor this morning......Yikes!

 

Had a great time this morning at the state training facility. 6am in the ring and wow did I learn a lot. Best self defense one on one instructions. Although I know I'll feel it tomorrow, I'm in very good shape but this was brutal and demanding.

My friend stands 5'8" 135 pounds, 12% body fat. Talk about tip top shape, she is rock solid. I was very impressed. Also happy she didn't accidentally break any of my bones. LOL

45 minutes in I had to take a breather, huffing and puffing, and that's when I noticed we had about 30+ new recruits watching us. Felt a little weird having an audience. But it did motivate me to push thru those last 15 minutes.

When we finished two male instructors stepped in to give a demonstration. So here's this puny little gal, a mere 135 pounds, and the first guy, 6'+ and easily 200 pounds, he comes at her face to face. It happened so fast I'm not sure what or how it happened. But I'd say in under 12 seconds this behemoth of a muscle man was on the ground tapping out. Wow!

The second demo the guy, even bigger like 6'4" and looked like he just got out of Marine boot camp, he grabbed her from behind. OMG, she started back kicking him in the leg/knee. Yes he was wearing body armor, but still dropped, he couldn't hold himself up on one leg only, and she was then able to flee.

A female is abducted/goes missing Every Single Day. Most think "that could never happen to me" but one of the most common factors is the power of fear. Too many freeze and the fear paralyzes them leaving them helpless.

I speak at high schools/universities to women on a regular basis, and I stress the importance of self defense as well as being aware of your surroundings at all times.

We all see these young ladies staring at their phones or out for a run with their earbuds blaring. Predator men are always out there, so I teach them to look for those red flags. Be it on the Internet, where men constantly belittle and make rude comments to females, or in relationships where the guy is controlling and abusive.

Best part of the morning: We got some time on the gun range! Fun Fun Fun

Oh, and for the record: there's no better feeling than solving a case and slapping the cuffs on a deviant pervert. That's always a Good Day!

 

Love the second one. My dad taught me just about everyone is the same height if you take their knee out and they fall over..plus a good height to kick them in the face.

 

Ya I hear what you're saying. To see this little lady strike fast and disable her attacker was truly impressive. The first guy was all about using his strength and momentum against him. Looked like he tried to come in fast and arm bar her to the head/neck/shoulder area. But she went underneath it and used his own energy to drop him and then immediately got him in a submission hold. He had to tap out or risk permanent damage.

The second guy, oh ya you got that spot on. A big dude like that is done once he becomes physically disabled.

The one point she stressed was how fast you have to react. Strike fast and hard, immediately disorientate and get the perp to release their hold/grip. Strike with disabling force and flee.

I always recommend ladies walking to their vehicle, always look around and have your keys in your hand. Somebody doesn't look/feel right, nothing wrong with accidentally sounding your vehicle alarm. Perps do not want attention brought their way. A simple sound of your alarm will make them move on.

 

Just found myself laughing it up. I thought if I was in a real match with her I'd be lucky to last 10 seconds......tops.

She's like 2 inches taller, 20 pounds+ heavier and 20 years younger. But all of that is irrelevant, because she is a master of her craft and has a reaction time second to none. Not many people can maintain their cool under a life and death predicament.

You have a split second to react. Be the lion or the sheep.

 

I'm a fan of the Asian girls. I was never really into blondes.

 

Nikita!

 

I'll have to check the show out. I've never watched La Femme Nikita though.

La Femme Nikita isn't the show that starred Maggie Q, that one was called Nikita and was on for only something like three years. She was a big star in China I believe then came to the states.

She always looked great and did her own stunts.

 

What I meant to say is that Nikita is a remake of La Femme Nikita (always aired on the USA network I believe). I haven't seen the original to how Nikita compares to it. Maggie Q does look great though.

My kids like to watch Power Rangers Samurai. They got me into it lol. The pink ranger, Erika Fong, is beautiful.

 

The original French movie is still the best.

 

The remake with Maggie Q was way better in my opinion. She is one sexy woman. It's funny cause I remember reading the demographics were something like; Males 30-50. Hahaha, ya she had it going on for sure.

 

Movies vs tv series is like apples to oranges. Great movie sure, but a tv series has to be good every week. It's tough to write good scripts and keep the fans coming back week after week.

Although with Maggie Q the script probably didn't matter much to the male viewers. As long as she was in a good fight scene wearing close to nothing. LOL

Actually I thought she looked best all decked out in a sexy evening dress. That girl looked amazing. Naturally sexy, with a great body to boot. Definitely physically fit.

Love hearing stories about father/daughter bonds. So important and special. What a great memory!

Hope you're still close and you let him know how much he means to you. My parents have both passed and I love when out of nowhere a memory pops in and makes me smile!
