    OME and worth every penny.

    He didn't mention a code, the canister usually throws a code. My overflow threw a code but only because it broke externally and lost vacuum.
    I believe the fuel filter is in the tank on his car also.

    I had the same symptoms as OP on my taco from topping off the gas tank, I had no CEL codes, it was diagnosed at the Dealer as bad Charcoal canister, had it replaced alls well

    if its not that, it's going to be the fuel pump/filter.

    At 330,000 miles, it deserves a new fuel pump/filter anyways.

    I picked it up from Camelback, best deal. Saw a few used ones on ebay for a lot cheaper, but id rather put a new one in and not worry about it again.

    not long after my canister went about 250k(my fault) I developed a leak around the tank where the sending unit/fuel pump is bolted on I replaced that gasket and put a new fuel pump in too Rockauto(Denso)

    @Mush Mouse

    I will have someone put it in for me. I have too much on my plate right now - need to do the valve cover gaskets on the 4runner and the oil pan gasket on my wife's escape.

    Figure i'm already doing enough on my own, just get someone else to do the hardest task.

    Not easy for a Camry. You need to either drop the gas tank OR drop the rear axle components to get to it. Ill just have someone do that while I tackle the maintenance on the other vehicles.

    Does this occur when you just remove the gas cap and then put it back?

    ^^ my intent was not clear I guess... What I meant to say was have you tried starting it *without pumping gas* and removing and replacing the gas cap? <-- Isolate the incident down to just the fuel filling being the issue.
    :thumbsup:
    NICE!:fingerscrossed:
    Can we see the service ticket for future reference to help others quickly diagnose?
