Are all these grille inserts glued and zip tied? Looks like if you buy a $200-$300 insert they would make it where you pull the old insert and the new one screws/bolts right back in instead of having to cut. Am I being too picky?

Custom car grills isn't near that expensive. You buy the grill and build it yourself.

The Customcargrills.com grill is way cheaper than that. I paid $50 for the mesh. You need to cut out the center of the OEM grill, and epoxy in the mesh. Scary to do the job, but once I was done, I was shocked at how easy the job was.

My grillcraft grille required the stock grille to be cut out and the new grille screwed in. No zip ties, no glue.

My grill is bolt on. Meaning. I cut the old center out and used brackets to mount to the chrome frame.

I cut the center of my grill out with a dremel. And dropped some lights behind the grill. I left enough of the grill bracket to screw the new grill into it. I just ordered 6 4" led lights I'm replacing the 5" halogen lights I don't like the way they look.

Actually I'm replacing the halogen cause the light bulb on the driver side went out after 4 years and when I took the lights off to get to the bulb they are pretty rotted away. So time for new lights. Go big or go home.

Man, the installation for the thin lip grill on customcargrills looks waaaaaay easier than the deep dish.
$85 shipped for the material is pretty enticing as well...

But then I need to paint my radiator, move my horns, probably get some lights... It never ends, does it?

I did a thin lip on mine because I planned on adding 6inch lights and didn't think id have the clearance I needed for them with a deep dish. In the end im glad I did, I like the way the thin lips look more.

Like I said earlier. It looks harder than it actually is. The video he has on the site is VERY helpful. I watched it several times while installing my grill.
I did relocate my horns and transmission cooler, but that was only beca used I felt it nessisary to stick some massive 7" lights behind the grill. I think I have seen people not move anything with smaller lights. I did not paint my radiator, and don't feel it is visible....

Did you do the flat black or gloss black? Trying to decide between the two, can't tell on your pics. Will have a very similar set up to yours with Hellas and the Toyota emblem.

I honestly don't remember. I'd go look at it, but it's nasty right now.20170109_163036.jpg

Based off my normal preferences, I'd guess I bought flat black though.
