Do eetttt!!! I moved to this state without a job and ended up working in the same field that I had worked in for like ever....... Buuuuut, I have made a job/career change in the past and struggled with a lot of the same emotions as you. Just like you, I ran a cost/benefit analysis and my benefits outweighed the cons. Since you seem to be maxed out where you are at currently, I would say that the room for growth where you are contemplating moving to would be weighted very heavily as well as the large bump in pay. The commute I cannot speak to as I am lucky enough to get to work from home and I know nothing about traffic in the valley. Ultimately, it also seems like your current job is not super stable at the moment, so that would be a consideration also. Change, albeit scary sometimes is good so go for it!! Just fab up a bunch of shit before you leave since that seems not to be something that you could continue if you make the move. Either way, good luck with whatever you decide to do.

The last time I was banned the system glitched and caused it to be perma and not temp like they had set. So apparently they are testing again to try and fix it.

 

What are your impressions about the trigger? Are you planning to do a trigger job on it or leave it factory? I am always a little hesitant about trigger jobs on any piece that may be relegated to EDC duty. My wife has a Shield and while the trigger isn't the best, it isn't the worst either. Maybe a simple polish may be in order.
