I don't know the super technical stuff; but have I installed multiple systems into my vehicle? YES! I don't get service at work, but what would you like to know? Also, why two 10's?

Look at speaker/amp brands... Is Kicker ok? Do I still need to consider low pass filters, or is that pretty much done at the amp now a days. I believe you can get some line module that you can tap to a current speaker wire instead of going all the way back to the radio. 10's because they should carry what I believe would be lower frequency compared to 8's. They will be going in the back of a 2006 Lexus ES330.

I don't mean to speak out of turn here because I don't know much about car audio. However, as a musician, typical amp speaker choices are 8", 10", 12", and 15". The larger the speaker, the lower the frequencies the speaker accentuates. So if you're wanting bass, a 12 or 15 would be the way to go. But maybe in cars, it's like 6,8,10,12,15 and 12 is getting a little like buying a LT kit when you need a leveling kit?

As far as low pass.. I'm not that technical.. As far as "line module that you can tap to a current speaker wire", that's how I've done all of mine because I always kept the same head unit because my factory speakers never went out. Kicker is a great brand! I think for her needs though.. Don't quote me on this, but I believe you can get in to Planet Audio for fairly cheap and it is also a great sub! As far as amps, I've always gone the over powered cheap route and just run it at a 3rd of its max output... but that's just me.

Agreed, I don't need her vibrating the car to pieces, so I was mainly looking for 8's or 10's for the punch.

Well I have a wife but I can never seen to get her to go with me consistently...

I do not really know much tho, they all end pretty quick.

Kicker are great! I had 2 12" in my Honda Civic.

    Where is this again?
