Dang I was hoping for speaker or RCA lines to be in this harness too. Are you ever going to make any other harnesses like this for different plugs?

 

There are RCA lines for aux audio/video on this plug. The aux video is locked out by the vehicle speed sensor, which can also be overridden on this harness.

 

Oh ok, well I was meaning for hooking up a amp and sub, so the aux audio wires wouldn't do the trick.

 

Metra has made Toyota audio harnesses for many years. OP Josh offers a harness that we've never seen in the market.

 

Yes I know that. I will maybe just buy the Metra harnesses but would much rather support a small business/entrepreneur/fellow Toyota owner, than a giant like Metra.

Just to be clear, and apologize in advance if this was already answered as I went thru and didn't see my answer, but will this harness work for 2016+ tacoma with JBL navi head unit? I'd like to do the "any time camera" mod without hacking stock harness.

 

Yes it will. This connection is the same on both JBL and Non-JBL.

 

Thanks for your quick response. One more question, I can't remember if it was you or another member that said they had tons of diodes laying around. Was that you? I can't find that post. So much information I've been researching lately....

Ordered - sweet!!! I really didn't want to cut my factory harness.

 

I dont know why i didnt think about this before, but I will include a diode with every one of these harnesses. Also if you have purchase and received one already and want a diode, PM me and I will mail one to you.

 

Now THAT is a vendor stepping up. Nice.

 

Sorry for the lack of understanding, but is it possible to simply wire this harness to bypass the speed sensor to use the nav in motion without having to use a toggle switch? Would this cause unintended consequences?
