Well Im new to this forum but have been involved in several others. I just swapped my jeep for this little Tacoma and I'm having a few issues. I've searched on this forum and well as others. I can not seem to find the location for the knock sensor on a 2006 2.7L. My check engine light is on and a local mechanic shop said it was the knock sensor. I can replace it myself if someone can point me to the location. I'd like to take a look at it and check the wiring harness before i purchase the sensor. The mechanic said it was on the right side of the motor but his diagram didn't give a good picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Chance

Thank you sir. I actually saw that post during my search. But wasn't quite sure if it was for the 2.7. I will definitely get another place to check the code before I dive into that.

I didn't get the code from the mechanic. He just told me 1.5 hour labor. Plus parts.
