@JD'STaco is nice enough to send me the bolt. Going to try it on this one first because I'm cheap.

:hattip: It's tedious, but It came out decent. I picked up a extra one from the dealer for a back up, but was able to make it work. I have that part# back at the house. I can post it later if anyone needs one. Thanks Chad!

I'll get that to you tonight. It's for the gray interior. Yeah just carefully drill the hole on a slight angle, and then use a chain saw file to keep adjusting the opening. It took about 5 tries. Also you need to make sure the ball has enough clearance!

Figure I'd toss this here for prosperity.

Got a new Garmin since my old one died a horrible death from too many Phoenix summers. I decided to bypass the x-mount since I don't care about mounting my phone. So away we go.

    New Garmin 57 LM
Arkon 17mm to 25mm ball adapter
Ram motorcycle ball and 6" socket arm
    M6x50 and nuts/washers

For this I put one nut on after the ball and three split washers, this is a good distance for me. I also subdued the base with a little flat black.

The cig plug power cable easily tucks over the column, it's not in the way so I doubt I'll run power. I can unmount this, pull the cord out and toss the whole mess in the glove box in seconds.

Pretty much perfection for what I wanted.

My local Toyota Dealer. I always ask for the net price on parts I purchase from them. I also get great prices on parts from Toyota online Parts.

No pics handy, but the link portion of a RAM mount is anout 2-2.5" long. I use it to mount a garmin gpsmap60 which is a handheld unit, so it'll look pretty different from a more common nav unit. I'll try to remember to snap a pic next time I set up for a trip.
