    I lean towards the weld. It will require too many holes and I am planing to keep this truck for a little bit longer.. Is less of a hassle in my eyes.
    Next week by this time I should have pics. I looked at the drawing that I posted and you cant see very clear. Sorry.

    I will be at the meet. The total cost of steel is $170 shipped and I got a quote for welding from a local guy for around $130.
    You are right. I could probably have a better deal on steel locally. Don't ask me where was my brain when I ordered.

    well, we will have welders there i believe so if you need something done there, they can do it, and i dont believe anyone here charges for their services.....materials, maybe, services, nope, so you should be good. look into it.

    Thank s,, I don't mind pay. Specially when the guy is doing a good job. I just don't want to over work the welders. Remember this should be a easy, chatty day and don't want to be the one that turned this in to a miserable day for them.

    If any of the guys that know how to weld and have the equipment want to make an extra buck before the meet,,,, I would be more then glad to swing this little job to him.

    Yeah ia m not going to transport the welder bc its a 3 man lift but if there is something to be welded I am only 25 minutes south of the shop so thats where the welding will be going on.

    About 3-4 inches of snow on the ground, anyone around gonna go tear it up in the snow?

    Ouch! Not sure I'm likin' the term, "tear it up"...but I am at work now...in SE CT and will be leaving here about 3....only got about 1-2 inches so far, but by the time I'm leaving, it should be fun! Am originally from VT...and I understand how to drive in the snow...so am not worried about the capabilites of me or my truck.....just the other idiots here along the coast line (I-95 Raiders), that I'm leery of!!!

    Yeah traffic was light on my way back from work this morning. And even with no plowing done to the mt I have to go over, I never had to put it into 4 wd. I was impressed. I am comfortable driving in the snow too. It never fails for almost every snow storm we get I have to work.

    It's always the way! Work when it's play time! I am impressed with the 2WD VSC on my new truck. Much better traction and control than I had with my 2000 reg cab in 2WD!
