2" coil spacers in front, 1.5" lift blocks in rear with 285/75/r16s. Painfully stock.
I put my snowmobile in the back of my doublecab and it fit. AFTER I BENT THE TAILGATE ON THE WAY TO CAMP. So now there is a nice curve in my tailgate. So that's great

Yeah the tailgates on these trucks are shit. They all bend if a slight amount of weight is placed on them. It's ridiculous, especially for Toyota quality.

I mean a primered one is 80 bucks online and I know a guy who could paint it, but I use my truck for other things and I don't want the new one to bend

I could also use the old one for hauling the sled

I know there is a thread on here about some steel that reinforces the 2nd gen tailgate. I'm not sure if there is one for 1st gens.

I bend my tail gate just about once a week sitting a 900 pound welder on the truck .

I change the cables about every 6 months after breaking the first set .

I keep wanting to make a new tail gate but get side tracked by paying jobs

That's why I did replace my tailgate inner skin with the Mobtown liner and cap. Yes, yours is a 1st gen, but if you can do that modification, it is WELL worth it! I stack firewood on mine sometimes, and it does make a world of difference.

Not enough to have a build thread.
Thank you. Does anyone know if a couple dirt bikes will bend it as well? Like if the rear tires are sitting on the tailgate?
