    Suspension design to handle your weight and specifications. If off the shelf works, then great. My truck is a fat pig and nothing is even close.

    It definitely makes sense for you to not go with off the shelf Tacoma leaf packs, but why didn't you go with a chevy 63"?

    My guess would be he didn't want to relocate the front hanger and you would still have to build a custom set to handle the weight. This is why I went with Alcans for my truck. I am curious to see the Dealer's though. :popcorn:

    Let's think about this

    Option 1: A custom built 10 leaf pack with a double wrap front eyelet designed specifically for my truck, the weight of my truck (yes...I corner weighted my truck and sent my specifications to Deaver), retain factory geometry, retain inverted shackle for maximum uptravel, and comes with a warranty from the best spring manufacture in the country.

    Option 2: Some used leaf pack that used to be on a Chevy in which I would have to build new hangers, shackles, and shackle mounts, redesign my bump mounts so they hit at the proper spot in bump travel, and there's no way in hell they would handle the weight of my fat ass truck.

    Well when you say it like that... :rolleyes:

    But who said anything about a used leaf pack? First off, if you bought a NEW OEM chevy 63" you could get one from a 4WD application that would have a really impressive load handling capacity. OR, you could get an aftermarket version that even better meets your requirements from someone like Deaver!

    It's your truck though, and the route you've chosen to go is really badass. Enjoy your fat pig :)

    I don't know why people are trying to debate it! Pretty funny.

    I can understand a budget build, but if you are going to buy new springs anyways just get the proper spec ones from the jump. Sort of how I feel about those doing shock relocation's, all the leg work for an ~1-2" (if not less, because potato) when your already in there doing the work might as well go big or go home and poke a hole in the bed.
