It's less Tacoma and more mod
That'll be interesting. The second gen front end doesn't lend itself to good mounting points or an appealing slope to a plate bumper so perhaps knowing what they know they'll really knock it out of the park.

Not sure on a set date but when speaking with Tyler last week when he dropped off my buddies 2nd gen hybrid bumper. He said someone was letting him borrow a first gen for a while so he could come up with a front/rear. Then he said later they would do sliders/skids.

Just super busy and high demand with all the other products

Also said they they would be plate bumpers...

Nice! I know Mike told me there where looking into it. Be nice to see what they can come up with. Hopefully see something this summer then.

they are definitely busy. But they make some of the best armor period for 2nd gens and I guess 3rd gens now.

Yea they kinda said that they had to make armor for the third gens just because that's what was going to be in demand etc and had to keep up with the other companies.

Another word... they are thinking about making armor for........j...jeeps:anonymous:

Yea it was something about the new jeep at sema projected tripling sales numbers from previous years. The demand is going to be so high it's impossible to ignor coming from a business perspective

Edit: plus they are stupid simple to make

Went to install my Akebono pads. Measured discs, too low. Installed new discs. Then needed brake master cylinder. Expensive day.

Oh well, 2001, with 197K trouble free miles.

Bye Bye Little Sebastian, Miss you in the saddest fashion.

May need to retune my truck. Noticed after all the maintenance and resetting the ecu, it's pulling a little more timing than before. So I'm losing some power in the areas I'm pulling timing with the URD unit. May wait and see if it re learns where the timing was so I don't end up changing it right back.

When I installed my Doug Thorley headers, it wasn't too bad. I was lucky as there was no welding involved. My stock cat has a 2 bolt flange on the upstream side. The kit came with a little adapter piece that bolted the y pipe to the cat with no issues. I was real excited about that.

Fox 2.0 Coilovers in the front and Fox 2.0’s in the rear, Total Chaos UCA’s, Al-lpro expo leafs, K&N cold air intake, TRD headers,Magnaflow catback exhaust,URD short throw shifter, switched out my 60/40 bench seat for some Tacoma Limited seats, Replaced the vinyl shift boot for a leather one, completely soundproofed the cab w/ Frost King. Replaced stock radio with a Pioneer AVH series head unit. Focal component system w/a 10" sub powered by 2 Alpine amps. Weathertech floor mats. Line-X'd the bed. SCS Ray 10’s, Installed an A.R.E. MX series camper shell. All-Pro Apex front bumper w/ All-Pro skid plates all the way back to the Trans. Low Range fuel skid plate.
No real hiccups, I've studied up quite a bit before I attempted it. Emailed a few folks that have done it, talked a little bit w/Gadget... I have a good amount of tools so I knew I'd have pretty much everything I needed. It was just a very arduous process. I'm glad I did it as a learning experience and I'd probably do it again someday but if I have the extra $500 I wouldn't mind paying a shop to do it also...
