Did the front half of the OME 888 lift and SPC upper control arms today. I already did the rear Dakar full spring pack half a couple of weeks ago.

I am thinking bronze 4Runner Limited replicas that are an inch wider. With 285s

I wanted the Stone colored one. But I liked Inferno too. Lots of people like it, i think it will have a higher resale. An added Bonus is that when I am rock climbing or trail running I can always find it in the middle of nowhere .

Maybe a dumb question - How do I know if the truck i have on order has the black or orange dash trim?

The orange dash trim comes with the "BLACK FABRIC WITH ORANGE ACCENT STITCHING"

    What interior did you order?

Hey man, I liked your grill so much that I went out and just bought some paprika rustoleum and plastidip. Any regrets or words of wisdom to pass on? how many coats, how it's held up, or any other information would be appreciated!

    thanks for the inspiration!!!!

Do they make plastidip in a non-aerosol "paint on" liquid?

Yes..(at least they used to)... I've had 2 cans of it I got from my Dad's basement when he passed 10 yrs ago... I thought it was just for dipping tool handles, etc....
    Worked good for that..
I'm not too sure it is thin enough to "paint" it on... although it can be diluted with naptha gas... maybe it can be painted on..! Never tried.

That would explain why everyone is using the aerosol spray stuff. Thanks for the explanation. I've been probably over thinking all of this.

Got my cabrack and awning/room installed. Went with the 2500 for the extra room since this will be our primary sleeping quarters. Had it mounted on the passenger side for a week but decided to switch it over to the driver so the room opens towards the bed of the truck.

Just got mine a few weeks ago, dealer is finally putting the tonneu cover and raptor bars on Tuesday. I did the TRD Pro grill this morning and the visors, and am in the process of trying to get Clazzios (black with orange stitching) installed when I have time.

zero problems or issues and I have washed it quite a few times.

I did approximately 7 coats of paprika and I did 5 coats of plastidip on the grill.

Pro tip: be careful when removing the emblem from the grill and use a heat gun and be very gentle with the tabs. otherwise they will break.

I dont know if you plan on doing a leveling kit or some 5100's, but in my personal opinion, I would. your stock front springs look pretty saggy with that DO bumper. (btw, this is one of my fav bumpers, and it looks amazing!!!)

Thanks man, this is EXACTLY the feedback I was looking for. I'll brush up on some youtube videos on removal of the emblem (thanks for the tip on that!), and plan to do the same that you did for coatings - and maybe a couple more on the plastidip.

my fear is that in the summer time around here we get tons and tons of bugs that splatter all over the front of the truck. hoping it'll withstand that and some good washings....

Can't wait until my new (used from another member on here, but didn't need it after he bought an aftermarket) grill gets here so I can get it cleaned up and start the process.

specific question on prep... did you do anything other than clean it up? no scuffing or priming? I was planning to use my bathtub with some dish soap (dawn) and then just dry it really well before starting to put several thin coats on.

I used windex and a paper towel to clean it off... that's it.

good luck! looking forward to seeing the finished product!
