    Ugh
    More I think
What would be better is somebody smacking your toe with a waffle head estwing hammer. And as soon as you recover and can breathe again get the shit smacked out of it again.
I kept thinking of getting shot but didnt. No idea it chose the path to my injured eye but better there I guess than lesions all over?
    Idk.
    Get the shot people!!
    Or face the hammer

I'm 57, and I took all the COPD test with my doctor and she said I was fine. The first test was with a company doctor (quack).

Hit my thumb before with one. Took my breath away. Seemed close to this pain only won't stop for awhile.

I did not remember getting chicken pox as a child. my Dr. had me tested for it a few years ago and the test came back that I didn't have them.
If I had them I would get the shot. because I to would worry about it. If a shot can take care of one worry I have it is worth it.
now im thinking I may get retested to make sure.

Ever drop something, bend over to pick it up then stand up fast, forgetting about the cupboard door you opened? That was a painful lesson

Been salary now I guess since I joined the Navy when I was 19. Which being a pit snipe and working the hours I do now helps. No on call pay straight salary. Once every 4 weeks would work ~110 hours a week on call and get paid the same. After a couple of years got out of that and now work 45 hours a week average and make the same. No wait picked up an advancement paygrade so make more money. Go figure.

I used to get 25 cents a woodchuck tail from the farmers, used to go to the dump and shoot rats for free. Couldn't get anyone to pay me to shoot them :pout:

Same here, IIRC the farm minimum wage was 90 cents hour for me but farm hands were in short supply so got paid a dollar an hour. And running a trap line, newspaper route, yard work, whatever could land. Fur was paid "under the table" which took me long time to understand what it really meant. At 14 finally got my official "working papers" and made big money at the feed and hardware store in the Valley.

I saw that one coming right up to hitting the thumb with it. My father had one. Roofing. About 15 years old. Still remember it.

We used to have working supervisors called "straw bosses".
When I got called out on a broken pole, a straw boss usually showed up.
I got paid OT, Callout money, and got sleep time if it was an all nighter. He got none of the above because he was salary.

I just took SafeStart safety training at work this past Tuesday. So, here's what happened: Eyes were not on task, mind was not on task, complacency occurred because you've opened the cupboard without incident thousands of times before, and it put you in the line of fire... :hattip:

I also hit my brothers thumb with one. It popped like a grape and nail came off.
We fought weekly back then. I laughed. He didn't.
    We fought again.
    Good times.
