It's been months since I have done mine, but I am pretty certain that it was a small Philips screwdriver.

I tried using one but it was still not gripping, like it was too narrow. Just trying to get a size cause I don't want to buy a million screw drivers lol.

Go to sears and buy one of their bigger sets, usually in a blister pack. Maybe 30-40 bucks and you'll have everything you'll ever need in terms of screw drivers.

That entire trim piece pops out with the cubby attached (bedlight and inverter buttons and all). I recommend a plastic trim tool but any flat screwdriver should get it out of there. Once out its allot easiet to get at the cubby .

I meant the screws holding the cubby in. I was able to pop the dash out no problem.

What he was saying is that whole piece comes off. Take a flat head underneath the edges of it all the way around and it will pop off itself. Unlplug the switches from it and you can turn it around and take that small section off in your hands rather than from the dash. I did this to even install my bed light switch into that open spot on the edge. It's not that hard to take off just be careful that you don't scratch the rest of the dash trying to get under the edges.

KIT 20016 - FRONT LIGHT BAR MOUNT
Straightforward install, no cutting. Not great protection but good at what it does (light mounting platform). Now just need to decide on which lights to go with

Well if you have the piece in your hand and can easily see the screws I'd just take it to the hardware store and buy the screwdriver that fits well. Or juts buy the ol harbor freight set. One of them will work lol.

To remove that whole under dash piece, there are 3 10MM bolts that have to be removed. First pop up the sill plate on the drivers side, then remove the drivers side kick panel. There's one silver 10MM bolt hidden behind the kick panel and the other 2 are black and easily seen. They all run along the bottom edge of the panel. After that, just gently pull on that panel. There's maybe 8-10 plastic clips holding it in place. Unplug your switches and hood pop cable, put it on the table, good to go. Much easier to work on it out of the truck than trying to reach back there to get the screws out.

No worries. Lift is 3" spacer up front, Icon rear 1.5 " expansion pack leaf springs. Until I can afford something better. Kudos to Icon, rear springs are smooth, not harsh like previous AALs I've had on my other trucks

The whole under dash panel is what we're talking about here. Removing that whole under dash panel to get to the screws that hold the OEM cubby in place.

Oh copy. Sorry it's been awhile since I took my cubby out. I just didn't remember that much work involved. I thought I just popped the trim and and unscrewed the cubby but like I said it's been a year.

You can probably pop trim and sorta fold it forward towards you without removing the screws n the bottom. That has risk involved which is not worth taking. Makes it pretty easy to crack the plastic since it's been bent forward and flexed unnaturally. Harder to hold that panel out and reach in with screw driver also. More work but less risk and much easier to just remove the panel all together.

I guess I just don't get it.I had to run to the garage and check because I thought that thing came out super easy and pops right back in?
Insert trim tool and pop it out.

Now it just sorta hanging by the wires (excuse the red one. That's for my voltmeter)

Here is where the 4 screws for the cubby go into the plastic. Seen on either side of the switch-pro bolts.

Got rid of my custom Mad Max Fury Road besides for these. Even though it was the greatest cinematic masterpiece ever created it was time for change. I'm always thinking ahead so 20 years from now when I retire Ive been throwing around the idea of becoming a part time Cryptozoologist.

It does. It pops out and pops right back in without taking out any screws
