Think I am leaning towards the EM Plus, just leave it plugged in and always have it on the screen I want to see vs dealing with it on my phone?

Any one have experience with both?

Stick with the actual thing, I don't get having a need to view it on a phone.

The MX model will get you trans temps if you have an automatic

It gets pretty hot here during the summer, once the temps start hitting around 80 degrees in the spring it was always overheating if left in the vehicle. it displays a warning message. Mine is an old model, don't know if the newer versions have this problem.

I purchased the Blue when it was first released and the adapter has been plugged in ever since without any issues. The Blue does provide transmission temps for automatic transmissions.

The only downside for me is software updates are a bit slow after Google releases a new Android OS. This is not a problem for most people. I'm always among the first upgrading to the latest version of Android.

Yes my ultra gauge did when left in a vehicle. Wanting to avoid wear and tear of the port with plugging and unplugging the ultra gauge I purchased the Blue. I leave the adapter for the Blue plugged in and have not had any issues.
