It seems to come from the top right of the windshield when driving 65 mph+ However, when the passenger window is cracked, it goes away. (But what's worse - the annoying-ass sound or driving with windows down on the interstate.) I've taken it into the dealership before but since they couldn't replicate it, they wouldn't do anything about it. Even after I showed them an earlier video I took and noted that there is a TSB for it.

As you can hear in the video, it was pretty much constant during a 10 hour roundtrip over New Year's. I have an appointment for them to look at it again. This time I'm pretty sure something has to be done or I'm not sure I can live with the truck during a roadtrip again :annoyed:

Edit - title should say "windshield seal"

Sweet, thanks. Is it for sure the same sound that you were experiencing?

Took my truck in for the 60,000 maintenance check and had them look at the sound again. Drove a technician on the interstate and of course no luck. They told me once again that because they couldn't replicate it, they can't address it (even though I showed them the above video). I'll be trying out the weather stripping and reporting back!

Told me when I took it in that, the TSB is only valid through 30,000. And that I should just go to their auto glass people.

How fast did you go on the interstate? My driver side weather strip whistle doesn't really start until I hit 80mph, or a load of oncoming wind. An easy way to tell if it's the weather strip around the door is if you hear the whistling noise, press real hard on the sail panel and it should go away/get way quiet

While on the drive, the tech told me that their dealership was one of the top in the Midwest and that Toyota sends unique problem vehicles to them for new diagnoses.. he then went on to tell me they send trucks to a local auto glass shop for the windshield resealing since they "Don't have the right tools for it". That cracked me up pretty good.

I got up to 80+ just hoping to induce it, no luck. I've even had it go crazy while driving on a 65 mph highway. Luckily my driver's side has yet to ever do it.

The glass place told my 250 ish for a repair, with a replacement windshield. Maybe looking at 70 total?

I meant the 250 was windshield and labor. So if someone just wanted to have the reseal, it would probably run 70-100. Of course prices differ per region.
